I hope "The Golden Palace" will come out on DVD. If it doesn't I will be disappointed. Does anybody think "The Golden Palace" will come to DVD?

As it only ran for one season, I doubt that The Golden Palace will be released on DVD, unless it's included as an extra "season" of The Golden Girls. But, who knows, some company might release it if there is enough interest from the public! :)

I was also wondering when "The golden Palace" aired for the first time on Lifetime back in August 2005, do you think Lifetime edited the episodes. I'm watching my GP tapes and I was wondering if this show was edited when aired on Lifetime. What do you think? ALSO is it true that they made 25episode, but never aired the 25th episode, because the 24th episode wasn't really a closing for a series. Does anybody know any information on this?

Well I heard this. Anyway If "THe Golden Palace" come out on dvd it will be very nice, and hopefully they'll give us the Un-Edited episodes. I timed "Seeems Like Old Times Part 2" last night and it's time was 21mins, and 28 seconds. Thats very short! So hopefully if they release it on dvd soon.

I was a fan of the Golden girls and only managed to catch The Golden Palace when I think it was Lifetime ran the episodes like a year ago.

I know that Lifetime did air edited versions. I would look at the episdoe being broadcast on Lifetime and expect for something else to happen and then "poof" its no longer there.

I think it will. There is quite a market for certain one season shows, and Golden Girls fans will want it to complete their collections. Besides, Gregory Sierra is a guest in a GP episode, and I want to see it!!!

I highly doubt this show ever gets a DVD release. It wasn't popular at the time, and there really isn't a huge demand for it. Alot of Golden Girls fans dont even have interest in it(including myself).

Like someone else mentioned, only way this ever comes to DVD is if there is a special DVD collection of The Golden Girls(all seasons), and the bonus disc is the season of The Golden Palace.

i remember seeing a post on the IMDB telling people to sign on some website
i think it was tvshowsondvd or something like that
anyway you can vote for what show you want to see on dvd that isnt out already
and the site rank orders the show based on votes
apparently the show was doing quite well on that
anyway, i think there is quite a big market for tv dvds at the moment
thats why im hoping that if i try hard enough we can convince touchstone to release more of their programs on dvd (at the moment its only lost, desperate housewives and the golden girls that i can think of the've released, though they recently added 8 simple rules) namely less than perfect
so im sure one day in the future it will get release
its just a case of when sadly :(

Personally, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Agreed, it wasn't the best... but Bea did make an appearance, and it featured several past stars (Ricardo Montalban, Dick Van Patton) and future stars (Don Cheadle, Jack Black).

It's worthy of a release...
