This is an odd request maybe, but I'm sure there are some people who have this stuff on tape. :)

Basically when I was a kid I was really excited by the launch of UPN and the WB and I had taped the very first night of programming on both networks. The very first appearance of the new logo and the little message on UPN just before "Star Trek: Voyager" - etc, etc.

Anyway, the tapes are long gone and I wish I still had them.

I also watched the launch of MSNBC live and that was kind of neat.

So, does anyone have any tapes of the very first broadcasts of either broadcast or cable networks? Alternatively, the very last broadcasts of networks like Trio and such that have gone away.

This is for ANY cable or broadcast networks and it can be as short as just the first few minutes when the network comes online to the entire first night's broadcast or whatever.

I have the first night in 1986 (or87) of the brand new FOX network. I would personally like to see the first Scifi channel night (I remmeber watching that).

I have that too, I think that is from 1987 where are Fox launced in 1986.

No, that is the first night of FOX.
