The Florida Duplex

This sitcom is about a Florida side-by-side duplex which is shared by two elderly couples. The couple on the east side of the duplex is the Hamiltons- Joe and Harriette (Bill Cosby, Marla Gibbs). The couple on the west side of the duplex is the Carsons- Hank and Marlene (Ed Asner, Bea Arthur). Joe and Harriette, along with Hank and Marlene are happily married couples who still after all these years show their love for each other by bickering with each other. Joe and Harriette's newly widowed daughter, Veronica (Star Jones Reynolds) is the newly-inherited (due to her hubby's sudden death) the opportunity as landlady of her parents and the Carsons' duplex. Veronica has one daughter, Brittany who is turning 13. Meanwhile, Hank and Marlene's divorced son, James (George Clooney) helps out as handyman for his parents and the Hamiltons' duplex. James and Veronica often drop by the duplex.
