I watched the closing credits of season 3 and 4 and they are different from season 7.

In the 80's when watching the closing credits you see

Extra Footage of Manhattan and The Musical Theme is Different. Never realized that before.

I'll have to rewatch my dvd's to check that out.

It's not on the DVD's, it's only seen on eps from the 1980's. The closing theme and video footage for seasons 1 to 4 are all the same. I'm not sure about season 5

They added a piano solo to the ending before Ja'net Dubois begins humming the ending. This begins in season 6 because from that point onward we no longer hear Isabel Sanford say, "The Jeffersons was recorded on tape before a studio audience."

Another thing I noticed is that in a very few shows the writing and directing credits right after the episode don't have the applause and Ja'net's humming. Some of these are the more serious episodes (And the Doorknobs Shined like Diamonds ends with silence) and the Hawaii shows (end with Hawaiian music- in the closing credits as well).

Oh yeah that was another change. Also that was my first time seeing the close up video of someone walking in Manhattan
