I hate to mis-correct you but Project Alf is available on DVD. I bought my copy earlier this year in Suncoast Movies.

it might have been, i can't say who produced it, but i've seen it in most major video store retailers in New York City, where I live.

I have the first two seasons. With all of the new material incorperated into the menu I don't get why he couldn't have layed down at least a couple commentary tracks.
