View Full Version : Benson and Taylor Scoobiedoo30 06-05-2006, 09:37 PM I was wondering why Benson and Taylor nervey did get along on The Show TV Knowledge Fan 06-07-2006, 03:57 PM ...Lewis J. Stadlen disappeared from the show after season one, 'agmfox8'! From what I've seen, "Benson" and "John Taylor" have NO chemistry between them. They're supposed to be adversaries, but there's nothing between them to "adver". When "Clayton Endicott III" became the Governor's aide, THAT'S when the fun began!! "Benson" always pricked his self-rising pompousness, and "Clayton" always seemed to have it in for him for neutralizing his chances to impress the Governor. But deep down, both of them each respected the other, although they'd never dare admit it out loud. BensonFan 06-07-2006, 08:38 PM "Benson" always pricked his self-rising pompousness, and "Clayton" always seemed to have it in for him for neutralizing his chances to impress the Governor. But deep down, both of them each respected the other, although they'd never dare admit it out loud. Actually, in "The Endicott Dynasty", Benson does tell Clayton at the end, "I've always liked the way your do your job; it's just that snooty attitude I can't stand." ;) Mr. Television 06-07-2006, 08:41 PM Clayton was a much better character than Taylor was. Moonlight Lady 06-08-2006, 03:53 PM I never liked Taylor. Clayton had better chemistry with the other character and he seemed a bit more accepted then Taylor, at least from my point of view. BensonFan 06-08-2006, 07:29 PM Taylor was funny every now and then but Clayton was such a character and so animated it was hilarious. Plus Clayton was in 6 seasons, Taylor only 1. Hard to compete with that ratio! Scoobiedoo30 06-15-2006, 10:30 AM you are right Benson was much Fun when Clayton came into THe Picture as The Governor Aide catlover79 11-23-2007, 01:55 PM Taylor was such a weasel. I think the problem was not with Lewis Stadlen - the problem is that the writers never fleshed out the character. We saw way too much of Taylor's weaknesses, and never really got to see any good qualities. We never really knew what his true motives were. I think the writers wised up once Rene A. came on the scene. Clayton was a much more three-dimensional character. |
