Robert Reed as Mike Brady:) My all-time favorite. Playful, nice heart, stern yet not unruley, sympathetic, yet not pandering. Who is yours?

Who is yours? Chocoholic 06-05-2006, 03:53 PM HOMER SIMPSON!!! OK, so maybe he's not the "best" father on TV, but I sure think he's the funniest. Mikado 06-06-2006, 12:32 AM Steven Keaton, Family Ties. Yooch 06-06-2006, 01:08 AM There are several good ones, but I'd pick Frank Lambert from Step-by-Step. Serious, yet fun. If I were a kid, knowing my personality, we'd hit it off well. Mr. Television 06-06-2006, 01:11 AM Jason Seaver, Growing Pains MikeLutton 06-06-2006, 01:43 AM George Jefferson he is a great father.u actually think Mike Brady is a great dad oook lol. troopoleon8897 06-06-2006, 06:41 AM Dan Conner or Cliff Huxtible or Danny Tanner or Tim Taylor clj2 06-06-2006, 07:42 AM WARD CLEAVER! tv star collector 06-06-2006, 08:15 AM I can't pick just one, but I think among the best were: Ward Cleaver, Andy Taylor, Ben Cartwright, Howard Cunningham, and Cliff Huxtable. BuddyHinton 06-06-2006, 10:15 AM George Jefferson he is a great father.u actually think Mike Brady is a great dad oook lol. You're right, who wouldn't rather have a biggot as a parent? jamier42 06-06-2006, 07:21 PM I can't pick just one either , Ward Cleaver, Mike Brady, Andy Taylor, Howard Cunningham, Tim Taylor, Danny Tanner, Jim Anderson, Alex Stone. ky24943 06-06-2006, 08:08 PM Cliff Huxtable Ant-Lox 06-08-2006, 08:48 AM Al Bundy.....Best father in the universe.... Gillis Michael72581 06-18-2006, 01:34 PM Fred Sanford Classicshowsgurl15 06-18-2006, 04:42 PM Steven Keaton-Family Ties Cliff Huxtable-The Cosby Show Steve Douglas-My Three Sons Howard Cunningham-Happy Days I think that these dads were the best. I can't decide which one that I like better. Scoobiedoo30 06-18-2006, 06:20 PM Archie Bunker Pavan 06-18-2006, 06:23 PM Some good ones have been mentioned (Brady, Cleaver, Cunningham, Huxtable, Winslow) but I'll say Philip Drummond of Diff'rent Strokes. Kristen 06-18-2006, 08:14 PM I'm surprised no one has mentioned Rob Petrie yet. I know he wasn't shown as a father as much as, say, Ward Cleaver, but he was still a good one. If I had to pick a runner-up, I'd prob. say Mike Brady or Ward Cleaver. Mister Ed 06-18-2006, 09:52 PM Carl Winslow for putting up with Steve Urkel. Céline 06-20-2006, 09:11 PM Pass:Charles Ingalls(The Little House on the Prairie) Present:Johnathan Kent(Smallville) Nighthawk76 06-20-2006, 09:17 PM Stan Pembroke (Charles In Charge) Sharop 06-21-2006, 05:33 AM I'm going to say Steven Keaton from Family Ties and also Michael Bluth from Arrested Development. I think that both Michael and his son George-Michael are the most decent characters on the show (George-Michael seems to be some kind of saint! He never does anything wrong.) And I think that Michael tries the hardest he can to be a good father, although he's not a perfect one all the time. |
