I probably need to see 2 months of the show before I answer that question. There may be a chance though because I actually enjoyed some of the eps over the weekend

I'll purchase it. Since many have stated that there were different endings taped of the finale, I would love for the DVD package to include all the endings as well the longer version of theme music.

No problem...thanks for at least not being a jerk about it like some people probably would. ;)

...Sony restored to DVD the FULL one-minute opening title of almost every episode, and the "tags" that originally ended each episode (short codas to the evening's plotline that allowed Benson and the other cast members a "last laugh"), yes, I would buy it. If, however, they packaged the same "syndicated" versions of the episodes now running on TV LAND, forget it!!!

p.s. I know I'll NEVER see the transition after the second act, when James Noble announced, "'BENSON', starring Robert Guillaume, will continue", ever again. They only appeared on ABC before the last commercial break.

I think we will see it on DVD, since Soap did well for them.

Believe it or not, SGN ran that announcement with James Noble when they aired Benson.

Probably tomorrow or Wednesday they will do a press release, if it did well. I'll try to find out either way how it did.

Well, at least the transition frame WAS seen on "SGN" at LEAST once, 'BensonFan'. But don't look for it when the series becomes available on DVD!

I don't expect to see it on the **upcoming** (;) ) DVD as part of the episodes themselves but if we're REALLY lucky they may have it as part of the "extras", including bloopers.

I'm really dreaming, aren't I?

I'd certainly buy it.

This the kind of show you feel good about having in your video library. Even if it lanquished on your video shelf, you'd still feel good knowing it was there to give you some laughs whenever you wanted.

A high quality sitcom is rare. Whenever you find one, you store it in your video treasure chest.

I noticed that on the blog. I think that makes a lot more sense on Adult Swim than Saved By The Bell. It'll be nice for more people to get a chance to check it out.

As for Benson, before the marathon I might've said no. I always loved Soap, and the character Benson but only liked the series Benson. Checking out some of the episodes helped me remember how great Robert Guillaume was on the show, so I think I'd get it if if comes out.

Yes I would buy Benson on DVD.Back in 95-96 Benson was aired on BET and the episodes were edited down from when they were aired on ABC and from what saw on the maratron TV Land edited them down some more.It would be great to see the complete shows again.
