I also have all 4 seasons on DVD and I am waiting to buy Season 5 on August 15th. That is going to be a busy day for me because I have to pick up not only this set but Simpsons Season 8 and Full House Season 4 as well.

Barwars, Adamantium and I - all have seasons 1 through 4. I've only watched a few episodes of 1, 2 and 4 though. Haven't completed any one set.

I sampled some episodes here and there but always plan to start it from the beginning. But I always end up getting some other show on dvd and watch that instead of watching the Jeffersons.

Not true. The Jeffersons is one of my all-time favorites, but the dvds aren't going anywhere. As long as I have them in my collection, I know I can watch them anytime.

That's true, that's the main problem in keeping me from watching the Jeffersons. Maybe I'll try to get through the first four sets by the time season 5 comes out.

It sounds like you like the Jeffersons the same way I like All In the Family, you don't mind watching the show but it's not one of your TOP 5 shows

I got all 4 seasons. when the 80s episodes hit, I don't know if I should get those. Then again, I may just buy them to keep the series on hand.

If they all come out, you should just complete the series. The show was still funny in the 80's, just no like it was in the 70's

It took me about a month & a half to collect them all, but now I do have them, and I've begun to enjoy each episode all over again!

I own all four seasons and certainly will buy Season 5. I must admit though that seasons 1 and 2 are my favorites of all as George wa real mean and nasty, like a black Archie Bunker and it made for some very funny shows. I really liked the series all the way though. Glad to see it is getting regular releases.

Whoever programs the show for my local station is obviously a fan; when they began running it daily the fastforwarded through the seasons already on DVD (showing only 1/2 of those seasons). When they got to the later years they showed every show in production order.

Well isn't season 4 edited on your local station? So I recommend getting the DVD

I have all four seasons as well, and I can't wait until the fifth is available! Several episodes continue to make me laugh. On "Uncle George and Aunt Louise" (season 4), in the beginning where Florence sees that bug in the cupboard and loses control is priceless! Especially when Louise goes to kill it like she's big and bad and it scares the crap out of her, too- then, George comes in with a rolling pin and breaks all of the dishes! My favorite in the fourth season is "George and Whitty", though. Louise's reaction to those ants are classic. George and Whitty is a very entertaining episode! I agree Isabel Sanford's acting i is quite good in that episode. Her acting in the killer rabbit episode is also very good.

Exactly- that is very fun to watch. Isabel was 60 years old then but she had great spunk. It was while watching this episode that I really just how good an actress she was. Many people thought Sherman and Marla Gibbs were the best actors in the show, but Isabel was right up there and could hold her own.

The Halloween episode was in Season 6. When I was younger I used to be scared of that rabbit. It was one of few episodes that had an eerie feeling to it (the other one that comes to mind is when they went on that mystery cruise and everyone was being murdered). I was using that episode as an example of Louise acting differently from her usual character in a very funny way.

The killer bunny episode is very entertaining. Iasabel and Paul Benedict are very good in that one. Other very good ones that Isabel did good in (because she broke character a bit and did something unexpected) were And the Winner Is in year 10 where she loses as volunteer of the year to Mrs Van Morris and Age is Nothing But A Number in the last season where Louise tries to get the valley girl tenant evicted. Isabel supposedly said that the Sammy Davis Jr episode in year 10 was her favorite and Louise does slapstick in that one, but it just seems like a very mediocre Lucille Ball meets a celebrity ripoff type of episode.
