The Sonny and Cher and Mae West Act that Janet Jackson did on Good Times was something TAKEN from the 1977 Summer Variety Show called the "Jacksons" on CBS. Janet would do the Sonny and Cher and Mae West act on stage with her Brothers. So the fact that it wasn;t funny on that show, i don;t know why Good Times Producers thought it would be funny on their show.

Yeah, in many shows that have been talking about the history of Janet Jackson they talk about her doing May west in many things before she did it on good times.

I mentioned this some time back when you stated that her Mae West act wasn't cute or funny, something like that. I guess my post got ignored.

I believe she performed it first on television on the Andy Williams show.

Well that must have been some act because I believe she hhad to be under 5 years old in the late 60's early 70's

she was. I seen the tape and she is real small...that was when it was really awesome seeing her do it on his show. She was real tiny and had this serious look on her face. It got lost when she got older.

calm down...LOL it doesn't matter whether it was twice or three times. I don't think Brie cares one way or the other.

I agree. Why does everything have to be so PRECISE? Good Times was on 30 years ago.....we can't remember every little thing that happened. And TVResearcher, you weren't even born when GT premiered, so I assume that you are getting your info from sources like reruns/books, etc. Lighten up just a little bit, OK?
