Me too, I've been waiting for a long time.

...it would have to be through Warner Home Video. The rights to the series were acquired by in the '80s by Telepictures, which merged with Lorimar, which then became a part of Warner Bros. Television. VIACOM has only the rights to the original Griffith show. I'm not sure if Time-Warner would consider releasing just 72 (or so) episodes of a series that doesn't seem to have much of a "following" these days, in a box set or three. Who knows?

TV Knowledge is 100% correct regarding "Mayberry RFD" rights, if you read the news correctly it states they are waiting on word from paramount regarding the December 12th release date for "Andy Griffith" Season 8 and "Gomer Pyle" season 1.....It would be great if someone asked about a possible "Mayberry RFD" release at the Warner Home Video chat scheduled for Tuesday, June 6, 2006.

You obviously did miss something as Season 7 was announced for release on August 29 several months ago.

Thats strange; it's not too far away and Amazon seems to have no mention of it.

I did an amazon search and found season 7 listed within seconds, it it listed first with an August 29 release date.
