safe sex? Or is in denial of the whole AIDS situation? According to the article we will see ten million more people get infected with the AIDS virus.

I have crossed a few people in my life who think that they "won't get it"..."can tell by the way a person looks"...etc. Stupid stuff. They are only asking to get infected.

I tell the guys I see that, "No glove, no love," and I mean it. It's a great way to weed out the good guys from the bad guys.

Thankfully, it's not much of a problem here...Teen pregnancies, on the other hand...

Bravo! Good for you!!!

Teen pregnancies, that is another issue, however, these young girls getting pregnant, should also worry abt having contracted HIV. All they think abt is NOT getting pregnant or getting pregnant for some stupid reason like "keeping my boyfriend".

When I was in College I heard it all when it came to unprotected sex. I if could say on this board all the things I've heard, You could see how stupid some college girls and what they believe. Sometimes you just want to slap, shake or kick some sense into people.

It's sad that in this day and age people still will not practice safe sex.

What's even more pathetic than the folks in denial about AIDS are the folks who believe the AIDS virus is a government conspiracy designed to think out the minority population.

Yeah, that as well. I mean, let's assume for arguments sake, that it is a conspiracy...what the hell does that have to do with not protecting one's self????

From a male peer pressure point of view, if you hit it "Raw" then you are a man. But when you get unwanted kids and have to take care of them, then what? Child support and everything going to eat you alive and you wished you had protected sex.

Guys like that need to be castrated.

Girls like this need to have a labotomy.

My sister in law's brother is in his 20's and was a virgin. Then he met this girl at work, had a one night stand and is now HIV positive. True story.

One of my friends is also ignorant of the subject. Just two weeks ago, he went to a party and ended up having sex with two girls (the birthday girl and some random girl who walked in on them). And from what he's told me, the birthday girl has had sex with over 40 guys (and she's only 20!). But he's convinced he won't get an STD. 40 guys and not one of them has something? BS. Plus, that girl who walked in could have AIDS and he would never know.

My cousin had two kids because she and her boyfriend didn't protect themselves, she was 15 when she had the first one. Everyone else I know is smart about this subject though.

They're supposed to be like 98% effective when used correctly.
