There were a couple episodes of that:

One episode was the fan letter business as to who gotmore fanbase. Turned out Willie Aames had more fan letter than Scott Baio. And I think at the end he says, "Al, Al, Al....something something.."

Another one is when the characters are playing their characters and Scott says, "I'm Scott Baio."

And the rest says, "Hello, Charles."

"What, Charles?"

Or something along the lines...

He turns to the camera and says, "Everyone's a critic." I think that's the line at the end.

i think one when he was yelling Al A L.was when charles and buddy was discusing about having tvs in their dressing rooms so they can watch some baseball game or something n buddy said.

Buddy.every star of every tv has a tv in their dressing room.

and charles starts talking to the producer Al burten

i loved it when they went out of charactor dont think any other show did that before

[also the wonderfull life episode where charles was dreaming the powells won the lottery and he was dead.also same 1 was with guest star happy days.Don most

I remember that scene but not the episode but in it Scott is talking to Ellen Travolta but she's in character and he's not. He tries to tell her "I'm an actor....named Scott Baio"
And she laughs "you?? an actor??"
Then he turns to the camera and sniffs, "everyone's a critic". I wish I could remember which episode that was because I'd love to see it again.
