When my wife and I were in Vegas this year, we saw Jimmie Walker in concert, he was headling with 2 other comics, CHEAP tickets of $15 for the whole show I think

ANYHOW
the show was fine

BUT Jimmie appeared lazy--- the material he was using was old and recycled, he had bits about Michael Jacksons Trial and other OUTDATED material, and he just seemed to be going through the motions

also he has put on some weight and really looks older than he should

the other 2 comedians were much better than he was

BUTTTT it was still great fun to be able to see him live, front row!

Jimmie Walker, IMO, has never really been funny. I mean, he is great at reading lines, scripted stuff, but his actual stand-up comedy has never been funny to me.

well he did a few minutes where he Ad Libbed with the audience back and forth

and when he did that he was REALLLY funny and had good timing

BUT the rest of it was just going through the motions and he didnt seem like he cared one way or the other:crazy:

JJ is not living high on the hog

and ive seen him in concert 3 times in last 5 years

ALWAYS for CHEAP and always in small clubs

so my guess is
that he is comfortable BUT not rich

He's way better off than Eric Monte.

I read something about him once and he said when he does stand up, he does a lot of new stuff and not too much old. But I guess not.
