You can't leave the place that's home to Cheers! :)

Me too. Knowing our wonderful state, they will grant this loser his wish. If this guy was in someplace like Texas, he'd be dead by now.
Sharop 06-02-2006, 06:41 PM My defence of Massachusetts:
1: The Bee Gees wrote a song called Massachusetts, which was released in October 1967 and was their first number 1. Does anyone like that song?
"And the lights all went out in Massachusetts..."
And then the end of the song - "I will remember Massachusetts..." That's a nice song.
2: Massachusetts is home to Cheers! You have Sam, Rebecca, Carla, Woody, Norm, Cliff and Lilith there! And you used to have Diane, Coach and Frasier.
My defence has got to raise the opinion of Massachusetts. First the Bee Gees, then Cheers, it can't get any better!
So i guess next he'll want to be transferred to a women's prison?
No wait, build him his own special "transgender" wing at the prison!
No wait, better yet, somebody invent a procedure that turns me into a person that really cares!
;)

I'll get you to listen to some Bee Gees songs. They have such great harmonies, it really gets to your heart. Listening to them can make you care about anything.
The people who dislike Massachusetts - do you like the song Massachusetts and Cheers?

I like that song, though it is not one of their best. I think their first great song was "Words".

You said it, Cindy.
Sharop 06-02-2006, 07:35 PM I think their first great song was "Words".
Yes, Words is a good one. And, of their earlier material, I also really like I Started a Joke, I've Gotta Get a Message to You, World,Lonely Days, How Can You Mend a Broken Heart, etc...
Then we come to 1975, and we get Jive Talking...which leads on to some disco songs...great stuff! :)
I really should start a thread on the Bee Gees in the Music section. I think I will, soon.
