Tvshowsondvd.com reported that HBO is going to release Get Smart Season 1 in Fall of 2006. It will include all 29 orignal-color episodes. The first Disc will have commentaries by Babbra Felden,Mel Brooks,and Buck Henry. It will also include a gag reel. I can't wait for this to come out.

TV Land is a channel where they show great old time TV shows from the 60's,70's, & the 80's. Now off to Get Smart I said that HBO reported that they would be making it,well I miss-read it. Time-Life is making the DVDS. The news is all the same on the dvds except that Time-life is making them. Now they will most likely only be sold throught TV commericals, ad there website. Also they are making Region 1 DVDs for Canada/US), and Region 4 Australia. I will post more News on the dvd when I get some more.

This news sucks... read it on TSoD today. We can't buy the DVD in stores! This is horrible news... I probably won't even be able to get the set, unless something changes around.

Tv DVD Fan: Yes, you can still buy it even if they don't put in stores! You can buy or pre-order it off there website. Thats what I'm going to do once you can pre-order it.

TimeLife's releases usually do end up in stores though from what I see.

tHe only thing I'm woried about is that if you can only get it on Tv/Website that it won't sell good, because people don't see it in stores. But I think it will still sell pretty good.

I would be relieved if this was true, but we do have some more controversy. According to THE DIGITAL BITS, they mentioned that when WHV has their chat with the general public, they should learn MORE about GET SMART! So now the ball is back in Warner's court. I can hardly tell the difference between left and right anymore. My head is spinning!

I'm still glad that Time-Life Is going to release Get Smart on DVD. Even though we mamby have to buy this on Tv/Website I'm still very glad that we will be able to own this great show on dvd soon. Plus it has Great Bonus Features! I can't wait for this dvd.

I can't wait to see what the Cover/the back cover and the dvd boxsets. I hope they're not seprate where you pull each disc out, but a boxset like The Golden Girls. I can't wait to see what it looks like!

according to wouldyoubelieve.com the DVD is supposed to be SPECTACULAR!!! Even Leanord Stern (the shows creator) is exited about it, & says the show will FINNALY be seen the way it was always intended to be! And the extras are just as great, including some rare BLOOPERS!!!!

WHV said in their transcript last night (http://tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=5802) that GET SMART was an HBO PRODUCT... NOT, NOT, I REPEAT NOT TIME-LIFE!

But www.Tvshowsondvd.com said that TIME-LIFE would be selling it through there website, so that means that they are going to sell it. Also I e-mailed tvshowsondvd.com to make sure Time-Life was making it, and here's what they said:

So I was wondering what do you hope the BoxSet artwork will look like? I would like to see Agent 86(Don Adams) talking to his Shoe-phone for the front cover of Season1. I also hope the dvds themself will have pictures of charcters of the show.

I don't think it really even matters to anyone anymore, they've fiddled with my emotions too much, I for one can say.

If I had to choose for artwork, though, I'd like a nice cast photo.

A cast photo would look good, but better for the last Season. I just hope we fing some more DVD news(artcover,offical date). So hopefully we'll find out what it looks like & when it will come out. I think it will come out in October.

No all we know is that it is coming out sometime in Fall 2006. Hopefully they'll give us some news on the exact date for Season 1.

Does Time Life in the United States release season sets?
Here, down under, Time Life only release shows 4 episodes at a time and not necessarily in air date order. It becomes really expensive by the time all episodes are released. It'll probably take 8 volumes at about $30 a pop if they keep to form. Hogan's Heroes and Happy Days (and others) are done this way. I'd much prefer the season all in one release. It keeps the price down and takes up a lot less space.

I can't think of a season set Time Life has here. Usually they have best of's like you described. I know Time Life had a Muppet Show set and that was multiple volumes.

I think Time Life plans to release Get Smart by Seasons, and not BEST OF.

Time-Life will be releasing "Get Smart Season 1" in September sometime. Saying this The US Region1 will most likely be out in October. Also the Australia set will not have as many Bonus Featues as the US(Region 1) Version.

Mr. Big is cool because it is in Black&White, but the rest of the episodes were all color. It's cool to see the diffrence.

Well, Time-Life is releasing "Get Smart Season 1 (AUS. Region 4 Version) in September. So hopefullty they will give us some info on Get Smart region 1 soon.

My worst fears have been realised. I e-mailed the US Time Life and they don't sell to overseas buyers. I have to hope Time Life here will release the series as a season set. And the missing extras in the region 4 version isn't helping any either.

Do you have relatives in the states? Maybe you can get one of them to order it for you and they can send it to you. That really stink for you now.

Good advice gf. I've e-mailed Time Life.au to see if I can order through them. Still waiting for an answer. If not, I'll have to rope my poor nephew into doing me the favour.
