Ok we talk alot about the shows that we love and the commercials that annoy us...but what about the TV shows that annoy us? Do any annoy you?

I cannot stand that Sports Night show. It is so terrible and stupid and it almosts makes me angry it's so bad. Plus they market it as a comedy and it's not a comedy! That show is never funny and is always serious.

I keep wondering what target audience they think they were appealing to. It's not really about sports, there isn't any good comedy or romance. I seriously can't see this show appealing to any demographic.

The most exciting this show ever gets is when someone says "Hey! We were carried in 4.2 million households last night! That's our highest ratings ever!"

I agree with you! Sports Night was awful! I'm surprised it was on so long.

Truthfully speaking, no show annoys me more than the new version of Family Feud w/ Louie Anderson. It annoys me so much that I want to throw things at my TV. I apologize to anyone who likes this, but I HATE IT! I guess I'm such a fan of the original that I can't stand the way Louie hosts it. And the producers made these stupid rules like only 4 rounds w/ the last round being triple. Dumb! And Louie is not funny, just not funny!

Providence (Sorry if you like that show) I can't stand it when Sydney see her mother in her dreams. I also can't stand though reality shows like survivor, thoughs are a waste of air time. I mean who wants to watch people eat bugs, sleep on the ground and listen to why they hate each other.

I find it hillarious that they only rotate the final two judges on the show, but most of the time the first two are always Meshak Taylor and Paula Poundstone.

Westerns like Gunsmoke, Maverick, Bonanza, etc. They all look the same and are booooring...

I never really sat through a whole Ally McBeal...it just irks me.I KNOW I would hate it just from the commercials.

Friends- I don't find this show funny at ALL!!! I think the characters are annoying as Hell, the acting is bad, the plots, writing, and jokes are dumb, boring, and unfunny. I just can't stand watching the show.

Seinfeld, Frasier, Will & Grace- Same deal.

reality shows and game shows- I find them really annoying.

Westerns- They're all the same plot and pretty boring.

Touched by an Angel- I like the message that this show tries to send, but I think the show is very boring, sappy, and predictable. It's the same thing every week.

Ally McBeal- I just find it really dumb.

That's it for now. I don't apologize if anyone is upset because I don't like their favorite TV show. It's their problem, not mine. I think there are a lot more things in life to worry about than what someone thinks about my favorite TV show. Wouldn't this world just suck if we all watched the same shows?

I must be in teh minority, but I LOVE FRIENDS, it's like the best show, on my list, it's up there with TD and FOL!

Wow, old thread...so much Ally McBeal hate! I love Ally. By far one of the best shows to ever hit the airwaves, and probably the best show to ever air on FOX. It's real, it's emotional, it's easy to connect to, and at most times, it's fall-off-the-chair hilarious. But, that's just my opinion.

For Boy Meets World: I thought it would be like The Wonder Years in terms of taking place twenty years prior to the present (with Fred's brother starring), but no, they made another run-of-the-mill present-day show taking place in a decade in which everyone was unhappy. No wrap-up episodes with Kevin's graduation! Talk about an injustice!

For The Mary Tyler Moore Show: I remember seeing one episode, the election episode in which there's a power failure during the count, and what sticks out for the series as a whole is Mary with a tough look on her face to force her fellow employees to stay. That was extremely sexist. I never watched another episode.

I AGREE! We HATE Realty TV! Life is reality enough!!!!!!!!!
When we watch TV we want entertainment, we don't want to watch a scripted version of people's lives in the million and plus ways they continue to create their version of reality.

I know why they say they are doing it, reality is cheap but they are still making the money from the advertisers. In fact there seem to be more commercials than ever. I say it's all about greed.

We have lost almost every show we liked to watch. They keep chopping away at them and soon, there will be nothing left except reality and the networks wonder why ratings go down. When they do offer something new, they try to make it raunchy. I thought I would like Molly and Mike and it could have been kind of cute but I detest cussing (doesn't improve the quality of anything).

I know quite a few families who have stopped watching TV and gone to DVD's which we pretty much do most of the time thanks to the current programming. I keep wishing and hoping that we'll get lucky and get a network someday that offers classic shows.
There are a lot of people who accept the reality programming and continue to watch but just as many of us don't like it. As long as the networks have a pretty good audience, they reality shows will continue to pumped out.

I, myself, always enjoyed TV westerns, but then, I was raised at a time when they were most prominate on TV. ;)

But each of us has their own opinion. Thats what makes us human. How boring if we all agreed. ;)

LOL, based on these lists, some people are easily annoyed.

There are many shows that I don't like for a variety of reasons, but very few that actually "annoy" me. For example, I don't like ABC's "The Middle" because I was never a fan of Patricia Heaton (for her one-note, rhymes with witch character on "Everybody Loves Raymond") and Neil Flynn (whose janitor was my least favorite character on "Scrubs"). While I don't like "The Middle", it doesn't annoy me.

What does annoy me...

1) Those cable news/opinion shows where the host tries to color the days news through his or her own political ideology.
2) Modern game shows that take forever to reveal a correct answer.

I agree wholeheartedly with you on how bad Louie's Feud was!

Also, the 4th Round also was called the "One Strike-Round," where if the team in control missed an answer, the other team gets a chance to steal right then and there, meaning that the 1st 3 rounds are irrelevant.

And don't get me started on most of these trashy reality TV shows, either, epsecially the ones on MTV and VH1!

I also cannot stand most of these Million Dollar Game Shows (with the exceptions of 1 vs. 100 and Million Dollar Password). It's the same premise: Dark, Millionaire-ish set, over-caffinated audience, over-hyped $1 MILLION top prize. OOOOOOOHHHH, AAAAAAAAHHH!, stupid shticks with hosts going "Do you wanna see the answer? We'll show it...after this commercial!", 1 vs. the House, and lame-wad melodrama suspense. "JUST GET ON WITH IT ALREADY!"
