View Full Version : Flip Saunders maybe fired if the Pistons don't get Past the Heat
TVFactFan 05-28-2006, 10:13 AM It all started with Him and Ben Wallace a argument and now they are not doing well in the playoffs. Plus it doesn't like like Flip is respected on the sideline. When I watching again last night i saw one of the assistant coaches on the piastons bench standing up coaching along with Flip-lol Kind of giving the message, Flip needs Coaching HELP???
Brian Damage 05-28-2006, 11:19 AM Saunders is an overrated coach. He has always had very good teams and is never able to get them over the hump. This team was better off with Larry Brown.

I'm still trying to figure out why the assistant coach was STANDING UP COACHING on the Pistons Bench-lol

Well, I blame Saunders for that. He should ACT like the head coach and sat his assistant coach's ass down.

You are right about that-lol
Stormtracker TF 05-29-2006, 12:34 AM Flip Saunders definetly isn't respected much by the players on our team, but isn't his supposed "genius" he's done for the team "setting them free"? That's just a fancy way of saying he lets the players do what they want and he just draws up offensive sets. I'm not sold on Flip and I'm not so sure if I like him. Larry Brown was better even though I definetly didn't like him, atleast he was someone the guys actually had to respect, because he demanded it. Apparently even Sheed has some sort of beef with Flip. If we don't win a Championship this year he's gone, and that's just about a fact.
moeee 05-29-2006, 01:30 AM They can fire Flip Saunders but they better make sure they re-sign Ben Wallace. That's the first step.

I don't think Ben Wallace is all that hard to replace especially when he can't shoot foul shots or can't contribute offensively
Rachel3118 05-29-2006, 02:41 PM Losing Ben Wallace would really hurt their wonderful defense.
It annoys me how whenever a team doesn't do as well they imidiately look to fire the coach.

Well that how it is in the NBA, Flip took over a team that was in the Finals last year so to not make the Finals at all defintely falls back on the coach. Especially when it was just a year ago and dertoit still has the same starting five

Exactly.
I'm honestly worried that if Flip Saunders returns next season, Ben Wallace wont. And we need Ben Wallace. He is the heart and soul of our team.
Something tells me Flip is gone by July and Larry Brown returns.

Larry Brown is not returning to detroit
