Wow, thanks for this! I think I remember reading somewhere that they caught him...but I can't be sure. I still don't know how he found out where the guy lived and murdered his mother...

Yeah, that was a pretty weird coincidence that the murderer found the guys mothers house. Especially since the son (forgot his name) drove in the opposite direction of their houses after he regained his vehicle and left the murderer in the dust as an attempt to throw the murderer off, but he found it anyways. I'm guessing that the murderer wasn't too far from the houses where he was dropped off. It must have been really terrifying for the son to drive by the houses and watch that creep walking up to his mothers house. What's weird is that after failing to get the son's truck, a person might conclude that he would have tried to steal another one, but it didn't appear that robbery was a motive in the mothers murder so who knows how he got away.

I think the son's name was Charles Holden.

I know this is sorta old news but it only clicked on me today who Dorothy Donovan was and her case, after watching it on Fox. I'm so relieved to find it has an end. This is sorta one of those ones that make me wish they'd tie this guy up, let the victims family members beat him three-quarters to death before putting a bullet in his stomach. This case scares me just thinking about it. I mean, I used to think something like this only happens in movies.

But you have to remember, RS DID state that because of the nature of the crime, the killer may have been high on drugs. And drugs can cause you to do some outrageous things. So, he may not have needed a specific reason to do what he did. Maybe he just wanted to fulfill his urge to do something crazy while high on that crap. And unfortunately, Dorothy Donovan became the subject of that.

Just watched this again...Anyone notice the son says the black man approached his passenger window, while UM reinactment simultaneously shows him at the drivers window...

I finally saw the forensic files episode. I feel so bad for the son who had to go thru that whole crazy situation then undergo that type of scrutiny from law enforcement. that must have been tough. I remember when I first so this segment it was beyond scary and unimagineable. then I remember thinking the son had to be behind it. The suspect must have really be a junkie.
