Guys,
TCM a.k.a Turner Classic Movies is a standard, and in some cases premium movie channel that shows commerical free and for the most part UNCUT movies 24//7. I have seen "The Jerk" on TCM uncut, and heard that "Fast Times At Ridgemount High" was shown on TCM uncut as well. Saw "Raging Bull", who's language appeared to be cut, (although skillfully done.) Have they ever shown "Raging Bull" uncut?
I hope they stay commercial free and remain uncensored if that is the case. I would like to see some more modern movies on TCM, which seem to show up only during Oscar month, or some rare special showcase. It seems like 75% or more of the films on TCM were made before 1960. Why can't they run stuff like "The Godfather" or "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest?"
Would you like to see more modern films on this channel as I would? The competitor seems to be Fox Movie Channel, which shows more modern movies uncut and commercial free, but I have this as an optional channel. TCM has such a great library of 70's and behond movies that they should be showing more of them!

TCM is a great channel. I love how there are no commercials and they show a variety of movies. I wouldn't mind seeing movies from the 70's and 80's, but overall they shouldn't go beyond that. I'd hate to see TCM go the way that AMC has, which now shows lame recently released modern movies.

I don't watch it that much because I have most of the movies I like on tape or DVD but they are always airing movies I have always wanted to see and catch them for the first time there.

I like TCM because they show great movies uncut. Also Silver Screen Classics airs alot of uncut 1920's and 1930's movies- sometimes controversial films from that era-- like uncut Al Jolson films (when he is painted in blackface). Drive-in Classics, another great movie channel, airs campy horror cult films from the 1950's, 1960's, and the 1970's. :)

as long as they're uncut I don't mind but they should stop at the 80's. AMC is a disgrace anymore. That used to be my favorite channel but I don't even watch it now.

I've seen movies on TCM as recently as "As Good As it Gets"(http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119822/). and one time I saw an ad for a montage of parodies that included "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery."
TCM really should concentrate on the older movies though.

I heard about TCM showing Raging Bull cut but I think the reason why they did that was because they aired it in primetime. I saw it late at night on TCM not too long ago and I believe it was shown uncut.
I wish they'd show more movies from the 70's. So many great movies came out in the 70's and we're lucky if they show 5 or more a month. Maybe some movies from the early 80's every now and then as well, but that's as far as they should go. A few weeks ago I was watching TCM and they were showing some Japanese cartoon from the mid 90's, I don't want to see anything like that on TCM ever again.

I like the fact that TCM shows mostly really old stuff...it's hard to come by things like that anymore at all.
I remember what AMC used to be, once upon a time. When I was a kid, I loved watching the Blondie movies on there every Sunday; good luck finding anything like THAT on there now.

No. I am glad they dont show modern movies. AMC is around for that!!! Turner Classic is an amazing channel, and im glad they are around! they have a really awesome site too. www.turnerclassicmovies.com check it out! :D
I like it because you can see those old Cary Grant movies and the ones by
Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. As well as so many other hard to find movies.
