Does anyone know if there was ever an update on Fu Thich Wong, sought by her sisters Dim and Tan? She was believed to have married a service member with the surname Walters or Waters in 1972, and to have moved to Texas after leaving Vietnam.

Sadly, there is no update on that case. :(

Hi, I know how to reply to a post. but how do I create a post for unsolved mysteries? I just signed up today.

as for your article on Dorothy Donavan. yea I saw it on forensic files. it is one of those cases where us viewers think that the son had a bad story in his defense and was 100% responsible for killing his mom. luckily he was proven innocent.

What is with all of these spambots and the listing of ''London'' as their location? Maybe Sitcoms Online needs some stricter policies for registration because these occurences don't seem to decreasing.

hello all.
I'm new to this site (dont have a clue what im doing)
And... Im new to unsolved mysteries. I love true crime and I happened to stumble on the website while serching. Been hooked on it ever since read every single mysterious case.
Then I happened to flick the tv over onto the program & find this site!!!! I'm like the happiest woman in the world. (my fella is sick of hearing about crimes)
So happy to have people here who I can talk to about this common intrest.

Can I ask is there any updates on the army guy. I think his name was robert Curtis Borden ? or something simular. I have serched the web for details on this case and apparently a random man claimed to be him?
I just wondered if the family came to except him?

Hello just noticed how long I haven't been here

don't recall when Dennis Farina died but when I saw my 1st UM after hearing of his passing I was really surprised at the following updates:

since UM episodes apparantly don't exist to watch online:rolleyes: ticked: I'm left to describe how I remembered seeing the segments, also what I didn't like with UM after Robert Stack was they didn't give the dates or say originally aired, but it was interesting to have google maped the area.

Uncle Bob

so this guy has a collection dolls that are stolen and his wife is beaten but survives, neighbor Bob seems worried but apparantly he had the person robbed while she was gone, goes out on a boat ride to celebrate winning a court case Back at the dock he falls in the water and nephew says "I can't find Uncle Bob" no body found; and I am finding out 2 years after the fact:rolleyes: :p

Michael Lloyed Self

the crime happened in 1970s. segment opens with kid in a rowboat picks up what he thinks is a ball - its a skull. Murder victims are Sharon and another woman. Michale Self is picked up as the police know of him doing some sort a petty crime. The sherriff wants a confession and beats him with his stick and unloads his gun and puts the bullets in front of him - in the segment a guy interviewed says he saw the same action by the sherriff on another inmate.

he has since died and the evidence was pointing to him as being innocent. If only it was in anywhere else besides Texas he would long ago probably been granted a new trial and set free

I really enjoy the updates that you are giving us and would like to add one and ask about another. Wendy Camp and her daughter and sister in law were recently found murdered and buried in in the back yard of one of chad noe's family members It was chads grandmother and either her sister or chad's mother who killed them they have one person in custody and are planning more arrest. Also there was a story on um about the man found shot in his bed. I can't remember his name but his mother had been in the house and saw his bedroom light go on and off, also she heard someone go down the stairs. the police ruled it a suicide but there were questions about whether it actually was. does anyone know the case I am talking about.

The daughter called his children from his marriage and she spoke to her half sister which she did not know at the time. The lady called her twin sister and told her what happened. The twin sister told her of a story that was told to her by a relative that Oscar fell in love with an black woman at a military hospital. They had a baby together but due to the social problems at the time, Oscar had to leave his girlfriend and their daughter. I could not find any updates on this if the seeking daughter had called back and reunited with her half sisters. Does anyone know if there is a update on this case, was it ever solved? Did she ever call back?

The case of Oscar Norton

Thanks

Hey there this was such a sad segment. I have not heard of an update. I hope that there is good news and it just never got reported. You can stay updated with the unsolved wikia website. usually they update that when there is new info on a case.

This isn't an update on a case, but rather an update on an actor from a case- Marie Hilley, one of my favs. Actress Taylor Simpson portrayed Marie Hilley beautifully. She is now an associate professor of law (!!!) at Barry University. Quite a jump! Her bio is very fascinating. The link has an updated picture of her.

abc7news.com/news/i-team-exclusive-new-leads-in-alcatraz-escapees-manhunt/1349024/

The age and condition of the photo and the fact that the men are wearing sunglasses hinder experts' abilities to make a definitive determination.

Dyke says Brizzi was a conman, and an expert working for the U.S. Marshal's Service does not believe the photograph is legitimate. Dyke says measurements of the physical characteristics of the Anglin brothers indicate it is not them in the Brazil photo, but even he acknowledges the difficulty in making a definitive determination and ruling it out as a valid lead completely. He continues to investigate the Brazil photo as a lead in the case, despite his doubts about Brizzi and the picture.

'''''''
But Dyke has another lead in the case he's trying to figure out. A deathbed confession has surfaced and the ABC7 I-Team tracked down an eyewitness who could help connect the clues.

According to people who have seen and read the entire document, the deathbed confession was dictated to a nurse by a dying man who wanted to come clean about his role in the escape from Alcatraz.

The dying man told his nurse he and an accomplice helped Frank Morris and the Anglin brothers escape from Alcatraz.

The confession indicates the two men were waiting in a boat on the Bay near Alcatraz the night of the escape and they plucked the three convicts from the water and whisked them away. The confession is very detailed and it says the men painted the boat white just days before they set out to assist in the prison break.

Robert Checchi was an off-duty San Francisco Policeman sitting in his car just before midnight at Marina Green that evening.

He was gazing out at the Bay when he noticed what he calls a "pristine white boat." Checchi says he immediately felt like something was wrong because the boat had no lights on. He didn't see anybody on the boat and he couldn't hear any noise coming from the boat.

But after watching the boat intently for several minutes, Checchi said a light went on. He says somebody on the boat was shining a spotlight or a flashlight into the dark waters of the Bay. He told ABC7's I-Team it just didn't look right.

"I said this is really unusual," Checchi said.

He said, "It started moving out and the port and starboard lights came on. I couldn't tell whether it went north or south, it just disappeared into the dark."

The next day, when Checchi found out there had been an escape from Alcatraz, he went in to work and filed a report about what he had seen. The FBI questioned Checchi for days and days and sometimes the interrogations got somewhat nasty.

Esslinger says another interesting part of the deathbed confession is what happened after the men on the boat supposedly helped the three convicts out of the water and escape to freedom.

The confession suggests the men on the boat took the escapees all the way to a place near Seattle in the boat. And it wasn't long after the escape that the accomplices betrayed the Anglins and Frank Morris.

The dying man told his nurse, according to the confession, he helped murder the convicts and bury their bodies near a highway.

Esslinger has been out to the area on a search for the bodies with a former federal investigator. They did not find the bodies but they have not given up completely on the deathbed confession.

OMG yes! There are several UM segments that felt almost like mini-movies, produced wonderfully with great actors, and that segment was certainly one.

Another was the story of Georgia Rudolph. Aside from whether you believe the story or not, the segment was produced so beautifully.

Thank you so much!

This was very close to me about 45 minutes.

In the Wanda Jean Mays case, I live in the town next to it.
I personally know the Detective that was on the case. He is a good man. He was inside the house showing what happened in the bedroom, shades and the window glass.

His name is Ed Teal with the Marshall Co. Sheriff's Office.

The Guntersville Rescue Squad was there on the dock helping with the case.

The person in charge of the GRS was George Bragg.

It was bittersweet seeing the lake and the mountains when she was missing.

The UM episode of the 14 year old girl who was in Chicago? was being beaten and molested by her step-father and who was a detective? at the police station. All of the letters of support were missing out of her file. Then the abuser lied to the judge and said that she stays out all night, is on drugs and is a prostitute. The judge sent her to a juvenile center until she was 18.

It was just on this morning and I didn't get her name! I would love an update on her and her abuser! Hope he was put in jail at some point in life!

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, so if it has been mentioned, sorry for the repetition. I just read a very brief update to the Dorothy Donovan death. In 2007, a man was convicted of her death due to DNA evidence that had been collected in 1991 at the scene of the crime.

This had always been one of the creepier segments for me as a kid because of the bizarre coincidence of Charles Holden first giving a ride to, and then escaping from the murderer. Was glad to see that someone had been convicted of the crime.

no worries about the repetition...don't know if you are aware I see that you read about it...but if you have access to watch forensic files they go into more details than what UM were able to. they give a lot more ensight into the way the crime was committed and solved.
