Is that the Blair gets in a car accident one?

I like it and I don't. I really really like the way it portrays the Jo/Blair friendship a lot. It shows that despite the making fun of each other aspect they really do go to each other and trust each other probably more than anyone else in the world. I also liked the scene where Jo went to Natalie and Tootie for advice and they were all shocked since it wasn't something she would normally do.

The only thing I don't like is how it's never mentioned again. After that episode, Blair is automatically back to normal. Shouldn't there have been more?

It should also be remebered that this was also one of the last episodes of the series. There really wasn't much time to really go into it again.

It wasn't THE last. The point was a bit unrealistic that Blair would be healed and perfect again--nary a bandage the next week.

This episode was pure stunt. NBC strategicly placed this ep against the winter olympics from Calgary, Canada - which beat FOL by 11 million viewers.

Yeah, don't get me wrong. I like that episode well enough but it rings a little false just because it kind of comes off as a ratings stunt. It's FOL, so they're not going to kill a main character off but that was about as close as they were going to come.

You know this is just TV and those are just storylines that they think people might enjoy. Who would really for Blair to just completely after one episode?
And there's no telling how much time passed between those two episodes.

The following week's ep of 'Till Marriage Do us Part' was also a stunt. the Olympics beat that ep by over 18 million. Ad rates were measured during this period - NBC had to pull out the big guns to minimalize Olympic damage to their schedule. FOL lost only 3 ratings races in their 9th season, it killed the competition almost every Sat night.

This episode is undoubtably a stunt.

Geez, why does everyone have to be so darn picky? Who cares if "Less Than Perfect" was a ratings stunt? All that matters is that it is a great episode. We're talking about a sitcom here, not developing a cure for cancer.

Limit a valid topic and kill the momentum why don't you dax. I think we've exhausted the general 'I love/dislike an episode' topic to death.

Because we are all going to like/dislike different things. I'm picky, I know that...but believe it or not television is what I do for a living. It's what I studied in college. When you study the art of making it, you become way more critical of things and tend to pick them apart. You wind up a lot like the critics.

Besides, isn't this a board to discuss FOL? What fun is it for everybody to agree.

I like the episode but I'm sure not everybody thinks it's a great episode.

Very fun! :D

I never got that from Mrs. Garrett's comments to Blair in the paint episode...and you always hear people say that, too. But I'm like, hey, if everybody agrees with me, then it's even better because we all agree! Yay! lol :p

I agree with you RAYA! I liked the episode too, but its nice to go a little further in discussions, beyond ' i love this episode'.

& i also went to university to study TV, and now work in the industry too. I just left you a pvt message. check it out.

YA KNOW, I WAS THINKING WHEN I SAW THIS EP ON ME-TV A WHILE BACK, THAT IT WAS A GREAT EPISODE. BUT...

I REALLY WISH THEY WOULD HAVE MADE JO MORE SENSITIVE TO BLAIR. THIS WAS THE PERFECT EP TO SHOWCASE JO'S FRIENDSHIP TO BLAIR EVEN FURTHER. WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT, HERE IS BLAIR LYING IN THE HOSPITAL BED, WHEN IN REALITY, SHE COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED IN THAT ACCIDENT.

FURTHERMORE, WHEN SHE TAKES OFF THE BANDAGE, THERE WAS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR SOME WONDERFUL DIALOGUE. YES. I DO AGREE THAT THIS WAS A VERY TOUCHING EP, BUT I'M DISAPPOINTED THAT JO DIDN'T HAVE MORE OF A SADDENED FACIAL EXPRESSION WHEN SHE CAME IN AND SAW BLAIR, OR MORE SYMPATHETIC WHEN BLAIR TOOK OFF THE BANDAGE. HER FACE BEING HER PRIDE AND JOY, IT IS NOW ASSUMED TO BE RUINED FOREVER. KNOWING HOW AFFECTED BLAIR WOULD BE, JO COULDN'T EVEN GRAB A HOLD OF HER HAND IN COMFORT? NO HUG AT THE END? I JUST THOUGHT THAT THEY REALLY HAD A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW THE DEPTH OF LOVE JO REALLY HAD FOR BLAIR. (AND I AM NOT SPEAKING OF ANYTHING BUT TRUE FRIENDSHIP HERE) I ONLY THINK IT WOULD BE A NATURAL THING, EVEN FOR JO, TO MAYBE SHED A TEAR FOR HER FRIEND, OR GIVE HER A WARM TOUCH OF AFFECTION. IT ALMOST SEEMED AS IF JO WAS HOLDING ON TO HER OLD PERSONALITY, IF EVER SLIGHTLY, WHEN IN FACT, ALL OF THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHUCKED OUT THE WINDOW WHILE HER BEST FRIEND NEEDED HER THE MOST.

I DON'T KNOW. MAYBE IT'S JUST ME. IT JUST LEFT ME KIND OF SAD KNOWING IT COULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH BETTER THAN IT ALREADY WAS, AND THAT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN! KNOWING THAT THIS EPISODE COULD HAVE BEEN THE BEST FOR JO AND BLAIR, AND SEEING HOW CLOSE TO THE SERIES FINALE THEY WERE, I DON'T FEEL THAT THE WRITER'S DID JO'S CHARACTER JUSTICE. AS A FAN, I'M DISAPPOINTED THAT I DIDN'T SEE JO CRY, EVEN IN PRIVATE, OR SEE HER HUG BLAIR BEFORE SHE LEFT, OR HOLD HER HAND TO COMFORT HER.

WOULDN'T YOU DO ANY OF THAT FOR A FRIEND? WHAT ABOUT YOUR CLOSEST FRIEND? NOW YOU SEE MY POINT. IT JUST FELT A LITTLE COLD, AND THAT'S WHAT I DIDN'T APPRECIATE ABOUT IT. OTHER THAN ALL THAT;) I TRULY LOVED THIS EP.
