I got the complete VHS set of the show that Turner released in 2000 or 2001. It is kind of neat seeing them colored again after not seeing them a lot. I really used to not like them so much but after a while of not watching them its kind of neat. Its a pain remembering how bad Turner edited the episodes length but its still fun. I have about 22 or 23 of the Turner prints. 12 from the VHS set and about two from TBS and TNT. Anybody watch them recently or want to comment on how off colored things are?

Unfortunately, GI was colorized back when this often meant watching people with burnt amber hair and salmon-colored suits walk through shadowless pastel scenes. :bouncers :bouncers

I think the colorized episodes are very phony looking. Gilligan and the Skipper's shirt colors don't quite match the other seasons and even the green trees and blue water look painted on. I'll stick to the black and white episodes I grew up with.

The brilliant color and clarity of Gilligan's Island on DVD is absolutely STUNNING! The series looks like it was shot yesterday! One of THE BEST DVD TRANSFERS THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN!

I'd watch the syndicated/TV Land prints if avaliable to see what was cut, but that is all. The DVD set is BEAUTIFUL!

I agree, the set is amazing. It looks a lot better than the All in the Family set which is weird since GI is older.
