Expecting them to do so is pretty stupid. Nighthawk76 05-23-2006, 12:38 AM It is probably a threat though. Remember how you could not graduate either junior high or high school if you didn't pass the Constitution test? After all, what if a person never passed it? I'm sure there isn't someone that has been in 8th grade since 1982 because they can't pass the Constitution test. Mr. Television 05-23-2006, 12:41 AM It is probably a threat though. Was that a test on the constitution? I know we didn't have to pass anything like that to graduate. Nighthawk76 05-23-2006, 12:42 AM That's true. We had to pass the constitution test as well as memorize and recite out loud the preamble. We just had to pass the test. In high school I actually got a 92% on it. I had the second highest grade in my class. Not to brag or anything. Nighthawk76 05-23-2006, 12:44 AM I don't even remember a Constitution Test. Was there even a constitution back then, Sonny? ;) Mr. Television 05-23-2006, 12:46 AM Was there even a constitution back then, Sonny? ;) I'm not sure. The news was slow getting around back then. We didn't have no cars I'll tell you that. We went to school by Buggy and Horse. Nighthawk76 05-23-2006, 12:48 AM I'm not sure. Chad Michael Murray 05-23-2006, 12:50 AM BOGUS. I remember now reading about this in the Red Eye a few weeks ago, but I had forgotten about it until you posted this. P.S.--I love how we have our own little Chicago Mafia going on here lately  SBTB Geek 05-23-2006, 01:46 AM Schools in Los Angeles got rid of their drivers ed. programs all together. The last time they offered it was in the summer 2001, and I managed to take the class. Taking drivers ed in high school saved me like $400. stevedqfan 05-23-2006, 02:50 AM No one should have to pass drivers ed to graduate because driving is a privelage not a right. Just because most people drive dosen't mean everyone What about all the people who cannot drive to a disabiltily or cannot afford a car. It also a lot easier to get around chicago without car since they decent transit service compared to other parts of the usa. Superstar 05-23-2006, 03:41 AM thats crazy. 80sTrivia 05-23-2006, 06:01 AM Just another one of those news items that makes you go  while reading it...   dawsongirl 05-23-2006, 03:01 PM A new concept! Drive by feel. dawsongirl 05-23-2006, 03:02 PM Schools in Los Angeles got rid of their drivers ed. programs all together. The last time they offered it was in the summer 2001, and I managed to take the class. Taking drivers ed in high school saved me like $400. Our school did that too. Fortunately it was after 1995 when I took it, cuz I didn't want to have to pay that much just to get a damn piece of paper. |
