for some unknown reason ever since i deleted my old windows account and made a new one, I can go to some of the sites that i used to go on regualy. (Ie. photobucket, green day forums, Jon heder forums, blah....) When ever I try to go to these sites, it just comes up as a white screen and it says "done" at the status bar. It's beyond annoying.

Is it something to do with my cookies? I don't know anything about setting cookies or anything...

if anyone could help, that would be great :D

i wouldn't think that it is related to cookies; are you getting any page errors? what browser are you using, could you try checking the same page in a different browser? have you checked for spyware, and could you post a HijackThis log?

there aren't any page errors, it just doesn't load.

- check the box in front of O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {82315A18-6CFB-44a7-BDFD-90E36537C252} - (no file) to fix it

- download CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/download129.asp) and install it

- download Mike's Hosts file (http://everythingisnt.com/NoAdHOSTS.exe), try and run it, see if it allows it to replace your Hosts file

- right click on THIS (http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/DnsDisabled.bat)and "Save Target as..." dont change the name, just save it to your Desktop, doubleclick on it when it is done.

- reboot into SAFEMODE and run your Antivirus scanner, if the Hosts file failed to install, then open the run command on the Start Menu, and type in del c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts then try to run Mike's Host's file again

- run your Spybot scan and remove anything it finds

- run CCleaner while still in SAFEMODE and let it clean out all your temp files and cache

- reboot into normal mode again

try to get to your pages again, i dont really SEE anything bad in your log, this could be something just messing up for no specific reason.

this could also be a result of a damaged system file, an incomplete IE update or patch, or due to problems caused by removing some types of spyware.

try (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;281679):
1. Quit all running programs.
2. Click Start, and then click Run.
3. Type regsvr32 urlmon.dll, and then click OK.
4. When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded" message, click OK.

you should also go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and make sure you have all the updates for IE and Windows security stuff installed

you can use the Internet Explorer Repair Tool (http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/archive/answers_5.htm#repair_tool)by opening Start Menu>Control Panel> Add/Remove Programs. Highlight the Internet Explorer entry then select add/remove. Choose the repair option.

(Note: if you are using Windows XP SP2, you can try running the command IExplore.exe /rereg
