...Marianne Faithfull & some young chick (Taryn Manning).

Here's what I have for trade:

Omigosh, I loved that commercial. I didn't realize the older singer was Marianne Faithfull, though!

Do you remember the approximate year? I'm sure I have it on tape, but if I can get a ballpark time, it would make it easier to track it down (I've got thousands of tapes).

I love the commercial as well. (Yup, Linna, that's the one!) Captivating. (For some reason.) It's from 2002. If you have a copy and there's something on my list you'd be interested in, I'd love to get a copy! :)

Don't know if I do have a copy or not. I also like that commercial. I'll keep an eye peeled for it and let you know.

I FINALLY found this commercial & now have it downloaded onto my Ipod video. I don't know why, but I find this commercial so captivating!

I agree - I'd look forward to that commercial. I might not pay as much attention to the show it interrupted, but I paid attention to the commercial. I like the way the two women's voices work together - they really should think about recording together!

(LOL!) Me too! The choreography is fascinating to me. Plus, Marianne's "mature" voice (which I suspect she owes to decades of smoking) is perfect for this song, which I've loved, since whenever the Staple Singers made it popular (20? 30? years ago?). I wish they had done a full music video for this song with Marianne & Taryn.

Have you heard Marianne's 1987 (I think?) rendition of "As Tears Go By"? I do like her original version, but her "mature" version is just "Ab Fab". ;) (A really good save at returning to sitcoms, especially since she played God in Ab Fab!)
