I heard that the first 200+ episodes of DS will be only made available to the DS DVD Fan Club or something? MPI said they are not sure if the early episode sets will be in retail stores or not?
That's just great! I'm on Set 22 now, and I been watching the sets for the last two years from my public library. If the old episode sets are made like this the library will not probably get them!!!

Well, consider yourself very lucky that you are able to watch the sets for "free" from your local library. My library does not carry them. All the ones I've watched I have had to buy. Anyway, I did read that we will have to buy the early episode sets through MPI. I did not quite understand the press release re: the early episodes so I don't know if they meant that these early episode sets will NEVER be available elsewhere other than from MPI or did they mean that for now they are only available from MPI but that eventually you can buy them elsewhere. So I'm not really sure. If it's only roughly 200 eps., that is just five dvd sets right there if they are issuing the episodes in the same way that they are issuing them now with 40 episodes in each set.

that site is pretty reliable.
good news!
I would also like to see the early years of Dark Shadows on DVD. I think they
were some of the best shows from what I can remember. They also had
the character Victoria in them.
