OK... so the ending was WTF HOLY CRAP AWESOME but some parts were just blah. I dunno... The ending with Matthew being shot and Mike getting run over made up for it, and it was a better finale than last year(I wasn't anxious for "next season" at the end of last year's finale), but this year I am. A LOT. Nora is ANNOYING. That should be interesting. I hate her already. So... now Bree will be dating a man who ran over someone else? Great. Just Great.

Ewww at Carlos and Xiao-Mei. He could have an affair with anyone and he picks her? :barf:

Oh and where did this Mike ring plot come from? It seemed bizarre or something. I would have actually cared if it had been building up for awhile, but they've been apart for 6 1/2 months!(in TV time)

Who is this dentist?? That is the real mystery. He is after Bree but also Susan?

I dunno, but I'm anxious to find out. I'm pretty sure Mike survives because otherwise there would be no mystery for next season.

I was left confused at the end when he went back to Bree.

I bet John returns next year so Gabby can have fun paying back Carlos, lol.

Wow.

WHAT an ending! I'm speechless.

And I've heard Jesse Metcalfe does INDEED return next season. We'll see Shawn Pyfrom too ...

Yep. I have heard John was coming back for Season 3 for awhile now, and it all makes sense.

I wonder how Gabby will handle living with the person who your husband cheated with AND who's carrying your baby?

BTW: I did not feel any sympathy for her when she saw Carlos and Xiao-Mei, and she DID tell Carlos to go have an affair, but that doesn't make him right either. I just don't think she has much right to be upset about it.

Awesome Finale, I liked the whole then and now storyline... was great to see. One of the parts that had me laughing was when Bree and Rex were buying hair dye for Danielle.. Bree asked George a question about parenthood and then she said see Rex. George listen to his mother and looked how well he turned out.. that was funny

The finale was good. I liked how they wrapped up the Applewhite story-line. I was surprised that Matthew was the one who killed Melanie and not Caleb.

pavanbadal Who is this dentist?? That is the real mystery. He is after Bree but also Susan?

Remember when Mike went to Orson? Apparently he was a dentist at the same prison as Mike. That's what I got from it when they were talking. I still am not sure why he ran Mike over. That part was confusing and didn't make much sense as to why he would do that.

Yes, I know that. I want to know who he REALLY is.

Relatively boring 2 hours, except for Mike getting hit by the car at the end. That was interesting.

I didnt record, but maybe someone who did can clarify.... did Bree and the dentist walk into the house than Carl bought for Susan at the end of the episode? It didnt look like Bree's house.

It was Bree's house.

I'm betting he's not a dentist at all. He committed a crime and was in the same prison as Mike.

:yeahthat

There's something very fishy about him. The first moment I saw him in the theater with Susan I knew he was not going to be a normal good guy.

Unlike the Applewhite mystery, Orson is already tied to three of the people on the show(assuming Mike survives which I think he does), and two have no idea that he has a secret. That makes it better than that mystery already.

Well this Dentist had something to do with Mike years ago. Maybe something to do with Deadre perhaps?

I thought the Finale was okay. It won't have me talking about it all summer like last years Finale, but it had it's moments. I do think it was kind of a let down, considering how good the last handful of episodes have been. And alot of stuff was left open. The only thing solved was the Applewhite story, and thank god because I was so sick of that anyway.......And MY GOD!!! I jumped up from my bed, Literally, when Mathew held the gun to Bree. I was never gonna watch the show again if she was killed....Oh, and great acting, yet again from Lynette in the hospital.

I thought this year was a lot better than last. Last year I had very little excitement about what would happen next(we all knew Zach wouldn't kill Susan or Mike), so it was anti-climatic.

I thought the episode was really good. It held my interest through out but then I enjoyed all of season 2 pretty well.

From the Hollywood Reporter about the ratings:

The two-hour "Desperate Housewives" season finale headlined an otherwise lackluster Sunday of viewing in the last throes of the May sweeps. "Desperate Housewives" blew away the competition with an average 24 million viewers and a 9.8 rating/23 share in the adults 18-49 demographic, according to preliminary ratings estimates from Nielsen Media Research. "Housewives" ran between 9 and 11 p.m., and grew from 22.7 million viewers and an 8.9/21 in the demo at 9 p.m. to 25 million viewers and a 10.5/25 at 10:30 p.m.

That means people didn't get bored with it and turn it off, and it really surged through the airing. Also, that 10.5 rating in Adults 18-49 makes it the highest-rated finale so far of May Sweeps and it will go down as the #1 scripted show finale(edging Grey's Anatomy which got a 10.4 last Monday). I find it amazing that despite the criticism and attacks on the show from the media and elsewhere, that it never once dropped below 20 million this season, and that despite all the complaints that the season was horrible, more people still tuned in to see the finale than any episode since the season premiere.

I'm a bit late, but where do I begin?

I suppose I will start with Mathew being killed and the twist in the Melony Foster disappearance. No way I could have seen that coming, a refreshing twist to a somewhat meteocre storyline. The only thing I didn't understand was why Bree didn't enter the house armed. I thought she carried a gun.

Mike getting run down by Susan's dentist. They obviously have a past. Should make for an interesting start to next year.

Carlos and the maid, what goes around comes around is all I can say their.

Zach killed Noah Taylor. I figured he would lose it eventually. And I am sure we are not done with freaky Felicia yet. Another good starting point for next year.

So we were right, Tom does have another kid.

Even some of the flashbacks were interesting. Bree's family was messed up even back then.

Apart from no Edie, which was a shock, a very strong season finale.
