None of the networks did anything that stood out to get my attention so I'll probably watch a little something from each one. What worried me the most, aside from "Scrubs" getting shoved aside until January, was that there were only 9 new sitcoms that will make it to air from the 4 major networks. That's down significantly from even a few years ago. What's worse, none of them look really hot. They'll have to struggle and work hard to build an audience the way that shows like "Cheers" used to do, but will the networks---or the viewers---have the patience? I would have to say no to that. Keeping that in mind, here's what I will watch this fall:

And NBC going insane yields some interesting changes - I get to give Betty the Ugly a try now; plus, the hole created by moving 20 Good Years/30 Rock means I'll almost inevitably give Lost another chance. I've really gotten out of both DH and GA this season, so I probably won't watch either. I'm not even going to attempt a hours per network thing, except to say that unless it's Wrestling (on CW) or Animation (on FOX), both networks are having a real problem getting my interest.

Not only that, with the exception of John Davidson, most of the US announcers are terrible!

Also, have you noticed that NBC has called their new NFL prime time show "Football Night In America"? Now where do you suppose they could have got an idea like that? Hint: Look again at my schedule under Saturday.

To me, this looks like a good excuse to launch a major lawsuit, but it probably won't happen. Too bad because NBC is really asking for it!
