Just recently, Alfredo Prieto, the man suspected in three Virginia murders, was successfully extradited to the state from California. He is the suspect in the 1988 murders of Veronica "Tina" Jefferson, Warren Fulton, and Rachael Raver. He has been linked to the homicides via DNA. At the time of his arrest, Alfredo Prieto was on California's death row for a 1990 murder.

UM initially introduced the murder of Veronica "Tina" Jefferson during a November 1989 broadcast. The case was later re-introduced in a 2001 segment about the murders of Warren Fulton and Rachael Raver. As mentioned in the 2001 episode, DNA tests confirmed that Warren and Rachael's killer had also murdered Veronica. Warren and Rachael were killed in December 1988, seven months after Veronica's murder.
