Well, we finally get a female ADA character on Law & Order played by an actress who can act and...she's already gone. After a season and change. I liked Annie Parisse and yeah, the fact that she was hot probably had something to do with it.

But after the robotic delivery of Elisabeth Rohm's as Serena Southerlyn, Alex Borgia was a welcome change. She seemed like an interesting character who could have progressed with a couple more seasons. Pity we'll never get to see it happen. I wonder why the show and Annie Parisse parted ways.

Well, apparently there'll have to be another hot young female ADA next season. Pity.

Man, apparently I'm not keeping up with L&O casting departures, because I was also shocked that Jamey Sheridan's character was written out of Criminal Intent with their season finale Sunday night.

Wait a minute, what happened to Jamey Sheridan's character?

It had something to do with one of Logan's cases and he decided to resign his job rather than "give the dept a black eye." I guess he was in the right, but this guy from behind bars - a political big shot - was putting the squeeze on him, so he quit and left in Sunday night's finale. Logan implored him to stay on, but he just left.

It was about the shooting of the undercover cop who was formerly a foster child of the character Whoopi Goldberg played in a previous episode. He didn't identify himself as a cop when coming toward Logan with his gun drawn, so Logan shot him, thinking he was a member of the gang of machete killers (I think). Technically it was not a criminal act, but Capt. Deakins was catching hell for it and so decided to resign.

As for the departure of Annie Parisse--to say nothing of the way in which her character was quite literally "disposed of"--OMG this was the worst casting decision since the hiring of Elisabeth Rohm (Serena)!!!

I was shocked they got rid of her in such a manner! I was just starting to warm up to her after Serena got fired which was a surprised to me.

Law and Order really knows how to stay on top of my interest to keep me wacthing. However that Criminal Intent has just bored me to death. That Whoopi Goldberg episode was the best ever. Just as well according to the papers the show has been cancelled. I won't miss it!

Criminal Intent hasn't been canceled. It's airing Friday nights at 10 this fall.
