George & James together would have been CRAZY!! Also Florida & Wheezy looked like they would get along real fine! They both act alot alike personally to me! It would have been interesting if Thelma was dating George's son, he was single at one point wasn't he?

Thelma would have been a better choice than Jenny-lol

How would you have liked to see it done? George opens up a dry cleaning shop in Chicago? I think the Jefferson's would have had to guest star on Good Times and not the other way around. The Evan's would have a hard time paying for a trip to New York.

Well, they are both from the same sitcom universe, so it could've happened.

That would have been a good way to end the show. Thelma meets Lionel and marries him. If James was still alive, George could have made him a store manager, and they all could have gotten out of the ghetto, lol.

Actually I would have only like to see George Meet the Evans, no one else. Just Him, by opening a cleaning store in Chi-Town

Yeah I would like to see George interact with these Good Times characters, James, Willona, Florida, or J.J,

Not Thelma or Michael

Exactly, Thelma and Michael would've added nothing. IMO

I could see George telling Lionel to date Thelma because both of her parents are black. J.J. would probably be in cahoots with him.

Then George could buy JJ's paintings and hang them in his stores.

At the end of the show Bookman could come by and they would let George throw him out since he is a guest.

Why would he be afraid to step in the projects??
He was from the projects. He and Weezie didn't get out of the projects until they moved next door to Archie.

George never lived in the projects, he lived in a one room WALK UP

Ha!, I think that would been AWESOME, if there was EVER a cross over of the Jeffersons and Good Times; can you imagine JJ and George in conversation?!!? Ha! (I love it):D

J.J would have been the character that I would have liked George to meet-lol

He always talked about his poor upbringing so I can see him doing his usual walking around talking about, "I've remember I grew up in this same room..", lol and Weezie just simply looking at him, lol.

Other potential storylines they could have used:

'Good Times, Holiday Times'
When James gets laid off before the holidays, Florida signs up for a program that has families that donate to poorer families. James and Michael are up in arms as they don't want any handouts from no rich white family but they are surprised to find out their family is black family (The Jeffersons)

I also liked the idea of George considering opening a store in Chicago and either James or JJ gets a job there

Ha!...those two would not even have to exchange a single word, just the look on George's face when he sees JJ for the first time...

He would have looked at J.J the same way he looked at that HUGE PIANO in his Living Room and said-"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT-lol

But for some reason, even though he grew up in the ghetto, i wonder why he was so afraid to go back

I know if Good Times was based in New York like it should have been, those two shows defintely would have crossed over

I would have no interest in seeing that

BUTTTTT if i could have seen a crossover with Norman Lear shows

i would have liked to have seen one of these

1. MAUDE VISITS--- an episode where Maude was in town and decided to visit her ex-maid Florida for a 2 parter (AND PLEASE TV RESEARCHER, we all know your views on whether it was a TRUE spinoff of maude or not, b/c of some inconsistencies)
that would have been lots of fun

2. ARCHIE AND EDITH for christmas---- it would have been great to have archie and edith in town flying back from CA visiting mike and gloria and they get snowed in and stuck there for the holidays, and Florida invites the Bunkers home with them for the holidays

ARCHIE BUNKER and JAMES EVANS spending christmas together???? priceless!

What All in the Family and the Jeffersons? Archie meeting Bentley?

TVFactFan

Ha!, exactly, especially if JJ arived (and the Jefferson's were in the Evans' livingroom) wearing that ridiculous chicken hat:lol:

He probably put J.J in Bentley's Category.

I think it would have been very easy for them to meet. Florida was Maude's maid. Maude was Archie's cousin and the Jefferson's lived next door to the Bunkers. So if liberal Maude wanted to somehow show how cool she was, she could have brought Florida along with her to see Archie or something like that.

It wouldn't have made sense for Florida to go with Maude to the Bunkers House

I was just saying that it was possible. There really was just one or two degrees of separation between the Evans and the Jeffersons.

Here is something that would have also been neat. If Alvin Childress guest stared as Florida's dad or something. He was Amos on Amos and Andy. Spencer Williams who played Andy died in 1969

J.J was sitting on the couch reading a Ebony Magazine with Sherman Hemsley, Isabel Sanford, and Zara Culy on the front Cover-lol Michael was reading the same Magazine in the episode "Sweet Daddy"

If there were to be a crossover with James, it should be done fanfic style circa 1975-1976 before the whole "James died" thing.

It would have been real easy to do a crossover if Good Times based in Harlem like it was supposed to-lol
