Looks like the final season will be released in November and yes, it does include the series finale 'Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen'. Here's a look at the cover art:

For those of you not currently collecting the series, Fox is re-releasing all 11 seasons in November in a collector's set and will feature extras. I don't plan to buy this set just to get extras (what do I need two full MASH sets for anyway).

I can't imagine buying all seasons at once. That would be so expensive. I know its probably going to be the same if you buy season by season, buts its not all at once so it doesn't seem so bad.

Maybe they will price the complete series cheaper than if you bought the individual seasons. I know that is what happed with Friends. We bought all 10 seasons as they came out and paid about $300 total, but the complete series including a nice wooden box was priced at $200 on amazon. If this keeps happening a lot of fans won't buy the seasons as they come out but will wait for the complete series. I did that with the tv show Combat from the 60's and saved over $100. Can't do that with M*A*S*H, I already have 9 of the seasons so once again the fans who support the releases as they happen get hosed by the studios.

Although I'm happy that Season 11 was announced...I'm not too happy with the "Complete Series" Box set. Hopefully the extras aren't too important.

doesn't matter if the extras are important or not, it's the fact that us real diehard fans will want the extras. but will be screwed by the way they put them out. there's no reson why we've waited 6 yearts for all 11 seasons to come out just to get jipped in the end.
i hope no one buys that box set and it sends the companies a big message.

i want the new planet of the apes set. i have the old set, but the new one has the old tv series AND the cartoon from the '70's. i want the cartoon bad, but could really care less for the tv series. and i already have the original 5 movies and REALLY could care less for the 2001 movie. so, do i keep what i got or spend close to $130 just so i can have what i already have, things i could care less about, and one season's worth of cartoons? well, i guess i don't want to cartoons bad enough.
same goes with the M*A*S*H box set.
they can say it's all marketing and such..yes it is, but it is mainly screwing your customers. that's how i see it.

Mark your calendars for November 7! That's when M*A*S*H - The Complete Eleventh Season comes to DVD. Also being released that day, The Complete M*A*S*H Series - Martinis and Medicine Box Set of 36 DVD's including 2 extra content DVD's (includes Fox's 30th Anniversary Reunion that aired in 2002). I found out from a MASH site and someone found out from Fox's site.
