yep, now Im more hesitant to give ABC sitcoms a try. I wish the final 8 would air..

it was a good cast it was starting to get funny but it just didn't grab a following

One of those weaker aspects is an arc about the main character hiding his sexual orientation from the family (he’s gay (https://web.archive.org/web/20140405001223/http://forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/topic/3134455-crumbs-kevin-arnold-is-gay/?view=getnewpost), obviously) – an idea that I think is supposed to ratchet up the concept of their premised dysfunction but, even for 2006, feels a bit like a narrative gimmick for this first season only, with limited life once everyone finds out. That is, it doesn’t set up a lot of comic ideas in the long-term, as it’s less about his fundamental characterization and more about what he can contribute, temporarily, to story.
