How I Met Your Mother, starting? Uh-oh. I hope The Class isn't wounded by that - it would be terrible for it to get bad ratings due to that bad lead-in. I wonder how Christine will do, creatively the show is already borderline boring. Atleast they realized comedy + wednesday = 4th place.

Cold Case has ran into the 9pm hour before when there have been football overruns and has done fine. It should do at least an 8 rating(12-13 million), which is very good compared to how the movie usually does, plus it'll skew younger.

I'm glad the movies gone. I remember back in 1986 when they scrapped their long time lineup to air them. At that time all 3 networks aired Sunday movies. In the spring of 1987 FOX came on the air. I think the fact that they aired entertainment shows really helped them get established. RIP CBS Sunday Night Movie and don't ever come back.

This new show 'Class'. Hopefully it does a lot better than Jason's last Show 'Joan Of Arcadia'( although, I'm not really a fan of Jason, more of his late father)(which was a cheap knock off of 'Touched By An Angel', IMO)

I think Jericho will do pretty well... certainly better than TAR does, it won't beat DWTS, but I defintely think it will beat Bones(if House goes there, which I doubt), then it will get beat though. It also will probably help Criminal Minds.

CBS has been the #1 network this season by a comfortable margin, so it's understandable that they didn't make too many changes. However, I'm not very impressed with the ones they did make. They scheduled 4 sitcoms on Monday night --- the first 2 opposite "Deal Or No Deal" --- and none for the rest of the week. That won't be enough to get me to watch, unless some series get moved to other nights.

I will only be watching The Class. My most anticipated sitcom probably.

Nice to see Gerald McRaney in something though, after that fiasco with his health and that lame WB sitcom he was gonna do.

I'll probably watch the first episode just because it's on before Criminal Minds.

I thought that looked boring, but then courtroom dramas sometimes aren't my thing. Probably still check it out since I'll be watching CSI anyway.

I can't help but notice that The Biggest Loser airs on Wednesday at 8(which has been one of DOND's timeslots for the past few months), and I'm sure that the show will not perform well(ANTM on The CW might beat it), so I give it til November Sweeps before they put DOND there.

I am not QUITE as interested in the show lately because it's been airing 3 times a week, so I hope they don't do that.

I was hoping CBS picked up The Way because of Roswell, Jason Behr was in it but they didn't.. oh well.. CBS schedule is just CBS (the same) except 2 less sitcoms and strengthen their Sunday Schedule

With the premieres coming soon, thought it would be good to see what everyone will be watching! I am so excited to see The Class!! It reminds me of How I met Your Mother in some ways, and I love that show so I can't wait to see what this one is like!

Well I wasn't that impressed with Smith, except for the tazer attack plot. I will be back to see how that unfolds, but overall it was disappointing.

Jericho was decent, not great, but enough to get me back next week.

"Law & Order: SVU" dominated the 10 p.m. hour for NBC with a 9.8/16. ABC's "Boston Legal," 6.6/11, edged CBS' "Smith," 6.4/11.

I think it's dead. NBC is kicking major butt.

No, and I'm starting to have doubts. The article in USA Today http://www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2006-10-04-knights-delayed_x.htm just says it's "likely" going to be cancelled. As of now it is still on Tuesday's schedule.

CBS's CRIMINAL MINDS and CSI: NY delivered more viewers than the highly promoted premieres of "Lost" and "The Nine" from 9:00-11:00 PM, while JERICHO maintained a healthy 94% of last week's audience in viewers and key demographics, according to preliminary Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 4.

CRIMINAL MINDS was second at 9:00PM in households (9.9/15), viewers (15.01m), adults 25-54 (5.5/12) and adults 18-49 (4.1/10). Against the premiere of "Lost" as competition, CRIMINAL MINDS retained 91% of last week's record viewer high delivery. This is the best delivery for CRIMINAL MINDS against a first run episode of "Lost" since 1/11/06 in both households and viewers, since 1/25/06 in both adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

At 10:00 PM, CSI: NY was first in households (10.2/17), viewers (15.62m), adults 25-54 (5.9/15) and adults 18-49 (4.9/13). CSI: NY beat ABC's premiere of "The Nine" by +31% in households (vs. 7.8/13), +9% in adults 25-54 (vs. 5.4/14), +7% in adults 18-49 (from 4.6/13) and by +3.66m viewers (vs. 11.96m, +31%).

Preliminary ratings indicate CBS averaged 15.32 million viewers to ABC's 15.24 million viewers from 9:00-11:00 PM.

At 8:00 PM, JERICHO was second in households (6.8/11), viewers (10.77m), adults 25-54 (4.5/12) and adults 18-49 (3.4/10). Compared to last week, JERICHO retained 92% of its household delivery and 94% each of its viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 performances.

For the night, CBS was second in households (8.9/14), viewers (13.80m), adults 25-54 (5.3/13) and adults 18-49 (4.1/11).

Defintely, and I think Lost will go down further(I've seen a LOT of negative reviews). If Lost falls as much as Grey's and DH did after their season premieres(10%), it should be a high 9 next week, and probably slip a bit more overtime. I think Daybreak will flop, with The Nine probably doing a 6(IF ABC is lucky, maybe lower). The Nine isn't a show you can just jump into so I don't see it growing. ABC would have been better off doing what FOX does with 24. Premiere it in January and run it for 24 staright weeks. I'm upset that ABC is only going to show 6 episodes and then it won't be back until February. Criminal Minds is a very good show. I remember when it premiered the critics hated it. Lately I've noticed that shows critics love end up being low-rated(see Studio 60, Arrested Development, Earl, The Office, Sons and Daughters).

I can't believe I'm watching 2 shows on CBS (The Class & Jericho). I can't remember the last time I watched more than one show on CBS.

"CBS is looking to bring the midseason drama "3 Lbs." earlier than expected, sources said. The network has ordered four additional scripts of the medical drama starring Stanley Tucci and is considering launching the series next month. The move comes amid a soft start for CBS' freshman series, especially the drama "Smith," which was pulled off the schedule Friday after three airings. "3 Lbs.," from creator Peter Ocko and CBS Paramount Network TV, centers on the relationship between a rising-star brain surgeon (Mark Feuerstein) and the brilliant but unpredictable surgeon (Tucci) he works under. The show already is in production on its midseason order. CBS is said to be very pleased with the episodes produced so far but is waiting to see more cuts before making a final decision about a November launch."

It looks like the switch of The Class and HIMYM helped.

NBC started in front with the 9.4/15 for "Deal or No Deal." CBS's "How I Met Your Mother" and "The Class" switched places this week and averaged a 6.4/10, as "The Class" actually improved slightly on its lead-in. ABC's "Wife Swap" was third with a 5.3/8, followed by FOX's repeat of "Prison Break." The WB's "Everybody Hates Chris" (1.9/3) and "All of Us" (1.6/2) had their Monday premieres.

JERICHO, CBS's hit freshman drama about the aftermath of a nuclear explosion in a small, peaceful Kansas town, will be broadcast without repeats for the remainder of the 2006-2007 season.

The network announced today that it has devised a scheduling pattern to broadcast JERICHO in two distinct seasons. JERICHO will conclude its "fall season" with a cliffhanger finale on Wednesday, Nov. 29 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) and come back in February with all original episodes for the remainder of the season.

JERICHO will return on February 14th with a recap special looking back at the first 11 episodes, followed by an original episode on February 21st. The all-new episode on February 21st will provide a look into life in Jericho the day before the nuclear bombs exploded.

To sustain audience momentum and update potential new viewers, CBS will create an online destination for JERICHO during the show's 10-week intermission. The site will include original content, interactive elements, recaps and sneak previews.

CBS will also continue to stream all episodes of JERICHO broadcast to date on its broadband channel innertube. Currently, JERICHO is the Network's most-streamed program on innertube.

JERICHO is averaging 11.08 million viewers, 3.4/10 in adults 18-49 and 4.5/12 in adults 25-54 and has boosted CBS's performance in the Wednesday, 8:00-9:00 PM time period by +50% in viewers, +42% in adults 18-49 and +50% in adults 25-54 compared to last year.

3lbs. was actully better than I expected, I hope it beats Show Me The Money...

It had more of a CBS-esqe feel to it than smith had and it's an emotional/sarcastic medical drama. I heard all the comparisons to house and I started to think the show was gonna suck (especially because I don't think House Is a Very good show, The acting feels fake and the stories are just boring, it doesn't keep you on the edge of your seat)... That being said I understand that House is a good show But I thought this was alot better and hope it does well...

3 LBS did ok, but lost to Show Me the Money. Not good. I don't think it was an improvement over anything else they've aired in the timeslot.

Yeah, Shark is doing pretty well, not as good as Without a Trace did, but it's been competiting with ER for 1st place(and last night outright beat it, probably because ER lost the DOND lead-in). I fully expect it'll get a 2nd season(it's already got a full season).

3 LBS has been pulled, not cancelled officially, but pulled. The ratings last night were bad, and dropped a good bit from last week(which weren't great either).

New CBS medical drama "3 LBS." has been declared brain dead after just three weeks, though CBS has yet to officially pull the plug.

After weighing the latest Nielsen numbers, Eye execs Wednesday confirmed that the Peter Ocko-produced medical drama has been placed on hiatus, effective immediately.

While the net isn't officially saying the show has been canceled, there are no plans to produce more segs beyond the eight already filmed, and it's unlikely CBS will give the show a shot elsewhere on its sked.

As it is, a special 9 p.m. Tuesday airing of "3 LBS." slated for next week has been scrapped in favor of "The Unit," which normally occupies the timeslot. Following a planned pre-emption for the Victoria's Secret fashion show, it seems likely CBS will fill the 10 p.m. Tuesday slot with a selection of repeats from its crime show library.

Killing "3 LBS." was a no-brainer. Skein's low ratings dropped each week it air, with its overall young adult average of a 2.7/7 down 16 percent from previous slot occupant "Smith."

Ocko's "3 LBS.," from CBS Paramount Network Television, becomes the latest casualty in what's become a death slot for CBS skeins. Its death after three airings Tuesdays at 10 follows similary short stints this year from dramas "Smith" and "Love Monkey," as well as reality skein "Tuesday Night Book Club."

Last season, "Close to Home" also performed miserably in the slot but was saved by a shift to Friday.

Unconfirmed reports say that Criminal Minds will air after the Super Bowl on February 4th. It's already a big hit(17 share this week), so this could be a move to make it Grey's Anatomy big. It will be facing Idol Wednesday and a returning Lost a few days after, so it should be interesting.

Lost is so going to be 3rd in the timeslot!

I totally agree.... or The Unit, or HIMYM/Christine or something. A show that needs some help. Although, I didn't think the Grey's move last year was a good idea and look what happened.

I do think it would be tougher for Minds to get to a megahit with Idol/Lost(perhaps) and DOND. Even Deal would get at least an 11 share.

Does anyone know if CBS will put up the remaining five episodes of "3 Lbs." on Innertube? Is a complete series DVD release from CBS Paramount likely? I wish the network had tried out "The Unit's" timeslot as planned (though who knows if that would've helped or not).

The King Of Queens will Play for an hour for 6 weeks stright (12/6, 12/13, 12/27, 1/3, 1/10, 1/17...12/20 will be a CBS holiday special) Then It will kick over to Monday Nitgh 1/22 at 8 for It's series Finale, followed by the premier of Rules Of Engagement, Two and a Half Men, and the Time slot Premier of Rules Of Engagement

Then Starting 1/29 CBS's Comedy Block would be:

What would happen if you took a group of "Surreal Life"-level stars and gave them guns?

CBS aims to find out starting this January when the network premieres the new reality show "Armed & Famous" in the Wednesday, 8 p.m. ET time period.

In "Armed & Fabulous," Erik Estrada, LaToya Jackson, Jack Osbourne, Jason "Wee-Man" Acuna and Trish Stratus become sworn police officers in Muncie, Indiana. Why? Who knows. The semi-celebrities will go through the necessary training with firearms and hand-to-hand combat. After the training, they get badges, guns and the right to call themselves reserve offices. Paired with veteran officers, they'll patrol the gritty mean streets of Muncie.

Produced by Tom Forman ("Extreme Makeover: Home Edition"), Jeffrey Kramer ("Ally McBeal") and Michael Braverman ("Jesse Ventura's America"), "Armed & Fabulous" will premiere on Wednesday, Jan. 10 and will air a second original episode the following night at 8 p.m. ET. The show will settle into its regular Wednesday 8 p.m. slot the following week and will presumably stay there until "Jericho" returns from its mid-season hiatus in February.

That show doesn't sound CBS at all. Wednesdays at 8 is wide open though.

CBS is giving new Adam Sandler-produced laffer "Rules of Engagement" the best comedy timeslot on TV while finalizing plans to say goodbye to "The King of Queens" after nine seasons.

Starting Feb. 5, "Rules" will run Mondays at 9:30 p.m. behind the top-rated "Two and a Half Men," the Eye will announce today. Its premiere will come one day after CBS airs Super Bowl XLI, allowing the net to give the David Spade-Patrick Warburton laffer a major promo push during the big game.

CBS Paramount and Sony Pictures TV produce "Rules" in association with Sandler's Happy Madison shingle. Tom Hertz, Jack Giarraputo and Doug Robinson are exec producers.

Move will mean a timeslot switch for "The New Adventures of Old Christine," which has occupied the plum slot after "Men" since its premiere last spring. After a brief hiatus during February, "Old Christine" will shift to Mondays at 8:30 p.m. on March 12.

"The Class," which currently airs in the 8:30 p.m. slot, will wrap its first season on March 5.

Eye's strategy is designed to virtually eliminate comedy repeats in the 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. Monday timeslots. Net also wants to give all of its comedy players a fair shake on Mondays before it makes up its mind about how to schedule the night next season.

Sked shuffle marks a major vote of confidence in "Rules." Eye execs are no doubt hoping the male-skewing "Rules," which features a heavy dose of ribald humor, will be a better fit with "Men" than the more femme-friendly "Old Christine."

While "Christine" has been a solid performer on Mondays and has even landed on some critics' year-end top 10 lists, skein still loses about 20% of its lead-in. Not helping matters: "Christine" has had to face off against the red-hot "Heroes" for most of the fall.

As for "Rules," CBS plans to air seven episodes of the laffer on Mondays. On April 9, net will bring back "King of Queens" -- which goes on hiatus after its Jan. 3 broadcast -- in the 9:30 p.m. Monday slot.

CBS will have seven episodes of "Queens" in the can, which means the skein's series finale will likely air on May 21. Net hasn't locked in any dates for the finale, however.

CBS is going to Rock 'n' (Super) Bowl in February with the Network's coverage of SUPER BOWL XLI and THE 49TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS.

The month also includes a special post Super Bowl episode of the hit sophomore drama CRIMINAL MINDS, with guest star James van der Beek; the debut of the new relationship comedy RULES OF ENGAGEMENT, starring Oliver Hudson, Bianca Kajlich, Megyn Price, David Spade and Patrick Warburton; the highly anticipated return of the freshman drama JERICHO; the spring premieres of the Network's two franchise reality hits, SURVIVOR and THE AMAZING RACE, and the return of Grissom (William Petersen) to CSI.

Guest starring in CBS series in February are multi-Grammy Award nominated singer Mary J. I won't post it until the final ratings come in. Early fast nationals/overnights indicate the Super Bowl was at its lowest levels in 15 years (about 86 million, to last years 90.72). And the post-Super Bowl show Criminal Minds was not nearly as high rated as last year's show (Grey's Anatomy).

Second most-watched Super Bowl ever, 93 million viewers(Some Midwest markets were excluded in the preliminary numbers). 35.1 demo.

Criminal Minds did pretty bad considering the lead-in, only 26.2 million viewers and a 9.9 in the demo.

Yeah, Chicago was excluded in the overnights, so I guess that is why the numbers were down. But the Colts of course draw, so thus the Super Bowl did well. Throw out the overnights, lol.

Chicago was NOT counted in the overnights(the initial numbers Pav posted). Then when the finals came in, of course, the ratings went up.

I can't wait for this!! Has everyone here heard about the contest where if you win, you get to play a dead body on the show?? I looked up the rules today online at www.miniaturekiller.com, and you HAVE to enter between 8pm Thursday and 12pm every Friday...I'll have to make sure to do it this week.
