It sure has been quiet around here. I know as summer is upon us it';s easy to get off on other things, i'm no acception, just wanted to touch base and say i hope everyone is well.

We're doing fine here. Hope you all are. :) Hopefully things will pickup more in the summer... :)

Actually, for me, it isn't summer, it is the end of the school year that has me soooo busy. I am looking foward to summer so I can be on here more and get back to writing. 2 more weeks of the rat race for me!

Hopefully this means you be writing more fan fiction this summer... :)

As for me, it's just been sooo busy! Work, taking kids to various things (baseball practice, girl scouts, tumble-cheer, YMCA, skating, friends houses, etc), and then my OTHER full-time job without pay (housework!)
And when I have a few minutes to myself, somebody else is always on the computor! :mad:

Well I had a busy summer, but now it is back to school for me, which means I am even busier..... :( oh well

Wow, is it that time already. We went to on our annual trip to Nags Head, NC in May with my folks. Then our annual 2 weeks or so trip to Ohio to see Mikes sister & her family. In Oct we go to that reunion in the hillbilly area of KY Mike is from. In Nov is seeing Arlo in Alexandria, VAs for 2 days. Next Feb is seeing Arlo in Hampton, VA for 2 days...

i too was somewhat let down, i did have plenty of company...so much so that i only got a way for one weekend....a quick and to the point vacation.
but the weather was nice and the company awesome so all in all a very nice summer

Oh me too, the only consolation are snow days. Speaking of which, we had our first cancellation of school.... Seems this Tropical Storm Ernesto is going to dump a lot of rain on us and there are flood warnings in our area, so the governor declared a state of emergency in our county and the superintendant of schools shut us down.... It is nice to have an unexpected day off! Especially since we have off on Monday for Labor Day.... A 4 day weekend! woo hoo! :woohoo:

Glad you got a long weekend. Hope you're safe over there & anyone else in Ernesto's path. We are getting it here. Hope it isn't to bad here. We are getting alot of rain I think. The Gov of Va declared a state of emergency in VA...

Hey, sorry I haven't been around much, but with the start of school I have been running ragged.

The reason I am on here tonight is to ask for good thoughts/prayers.... I had an abnormality show up on a recient mamogram and have to go back in for more tests tomorrow. I am really hoping hard that it is nothing.... most of the people I have talked to around here say that this is more common than I realized....

I just got back from the hospital, they couldn't find anything on the ultrasound, but I have to wait for the 'official' report from the dr. Cause with all the prayer I bet it will be good!

Thanks again. I still haven't heard anything from the dr. And I agree, we do go through a lot, but then again, men have their own health issues, my hubby deals with that too.

I just wanted to update all of you. Thanks for all of your good wishes and prayers. They did find a spot on my left side, and I have to go for another ultrasound in Jan. The dr is thinking that it is probably nothing, and I am hoping that it is nothing. They have nothing to compare my first ones to, so that is why I need more in 3 months to compare it to.

BTW I wanted to let you all know that mariposa hasn't been able to be on here in a while. Her computer is having issues, mainly dealing with the popups on this and other sites. Plus she is now a household with a teenager... and anyone who has had one in their house (I had three) know there is always competition for the phone lines and the computer. She is on dialup like I am, so we have to deal with all of that too.... *sigh* I get to talk to her on the IM occasionally and she hopes that things will be ok soon. She does miss it all.
