View Full Version : MAUDE DVD Update!!!
Edster2973 05-15-2006, 08:51 AM Hello all,
As some of you may know, I'm a subscriber to www.tvshowsondvd.com and I received a bit of news from them this morning regarding MAUDE on DVD. Rather than post the news here as if it was my own, I'd rather just post the link. After all, it's www.tvshowsondvd.com that had the scoop. Credit where credit is due, no? Check it out, it even has a couple of screencaps. Here is the link:

I received the same email and it says nothing about a Release Date which made the email pointless

OK, te website seems to working now. The article states that Adrienne BArbeau said she was filmed for special features? Wow! If Maude does have special features will that be a first for a Sony TV show release?
Pavan 05-15-2006, 01:11 PM No, Sony has special features on some sets. And of course Seinfeld has the most. 227, Facts of Life, Diff'rent Strokes S1, Soap S2, etc all had extras.
This is old news. We posted this on the Facts of Life DVD review a few weeks ago.

ED my advice to you is to check with Pav in the future before posting DVD News-lol
Edster2973 05-15-2006, 05:40 PM I received the same email and it says nothing about a Release Date which made the email pointless
It isn't pointless. So what if there wasn't a release date mentioned? The fact remains is that they're getting close to releasing the show, and that fact alone is worth mentioning.
In 2004, mention was made of One Day At a Time coming out, and it still hasn't to this date. They obviously planned on it but it got delayed. How would we know that the same couldn't happen with Maude? An announcement was made earlier this year. How do we know history won't repeat itself? Because the studio is going through the trouble of advertising the show on current releases along with screencaps. They're obviously very close to releasing it. That was why I posted.
So in that sense, NOTHING about my post was pointless, although Solomon, I have to say MOST of your posts tended to be. You forget conveniently the many posts you used to make about things that NOBODY cared about. So clam up dude!

Pav posted that it was in the talking stages. My post actually shows that the DVDs are nearing completion. My advice to you is to stop being a pain in the a$$ and look for some other way to show off your message board savvyness. I ain't buying it...

GoldenGirlsFan92 05-15-2006, 06:23 PM I think this will be coming out very soon & I can't wait.

Ed you know you are buddy, just joking around man.
Mister Ed 06-04-2006, 05:53 PM This doesn't really mean anything. Things we're shot for The Mary Tyler Moore Show Season 2 DVD in 2002 and they weren't put out for three more years. :p

This is interesting. You criticize Edster2973 for posting information that you think is meaningless because Sony did not announce a date. So your statement that Maude fans can forget about a DVD is based on what? Did Sony announce that Maude would not be released?
Seems to me that a coming attraction Sony placed on another DVD would carry more validity then your personal opinion.
