I guess he forgot that he wouldn't be bringing any money into Willona's House and that she would have to TAKE CARE of him-lol

I don't think we need to waste our time responding to a person who didn't know the difference between Michael situation and Penny's situation.

I think that Willona would have taken Michael in, I don't see her having any problem with it. But it was stupid for him to just assume that Willona would have been alright with it.

Willona's reaction didn't seem like she would want anyone to move in with her, not even Michael.

I noticed the very same thing, and I come to the very same conclusion:
Michael wasn't thinking right when he assumed that he could just remain in Chicago w/Willona, for the sake of "love, all LOVE..." as far as that Louanne gal went.
Gag, GAG...
BIG DEAL! Family is much more important, not to mention a chance to get out of the ghetto for a much better life, etc.

Not only that, she must not have had much love for Michael, she didn't even show up at the apt. after the funeral! So much for LOVE!

True, it was a different situation than Michael's, but she did adopt her. She could've just been satisfied with getting Penny away from her mother and into a foster home. She knew Michael his whole life, where as Penny was a stranger.

Willona had grown some (emotionally and mentally) and even though she wasn't married, she probably felt it in her heart that she was ready for motherhood. Her timeclock was ticking and she probably felt the time is right. Whereas that time when James died, she was still going out, rappin', tappin' and finger snappin'!:D
