As reported on tvguide.com:

The King of Queens won't return on CBS until mid-season, if ever, due to Kevin James' movie commitments.

Wednesday May 17 is when we'll find out for sure. Until then everything being reported is just pure speculation. I hope to God that the King of Queens gets a proper series finale.

I'm going to go along with those who think that CBS will pull KoQ out midseason and give it a proper end (assuming of course Sony isn't concerned with a final episode hurting the syndication value).

Would everyone be satisfied if CBS were to say on Wednesday that while they're not bringing it back in September, they will firmly commit to 6-8 episodes sometime midseason in a reasonable timeslot including a proper series finale?

Yes,I just want this great show to have the proper ending it so richly deserves!!
That 70's Show was on for 2 HOURS the other night, and they haven't even got to the series finale yet!!FOX knows how to do it right. ;)
Oh,and both T70'sS and the KoQ came on the same year.

Will and Grace is also ending properly,on the 18th I think. They started the same year too!!
