That was funny. I've seen Ed do that when he's going to sign something, and another time getting ready to play the piano.

More on The Honeymooners...Ralph Kramden makes a mock fist, and says to Alice, "Bang, zoom, right to the moon Alice!"

Lucy bursting into tears and crying "WAAAAA"!!!! when something would go wrong, sometimes. (I don't know if she ever did it on that HORRIBLE sitcom she had in the late 80s "LIFE WITH LUCY" though)

Ricky Ricardo saying "sayings" all wrong. for example he is trying to say "spill the beans" and "let the cat out of the bag". instead, he says them both together, all mixed up. "Spill the beans out of the cat bag"...
there were a few other times he did this and Lucy would have to correct him on the right phrases.

Radar doing that "double-talk" on MASH sometimes.

trivia-that was Gary Burghoffs idea to have Radar do that. He felt it would be funny. Also, to have Radar wear glasses. (he didn't in the book) He thought that Radars eyes should be weak because of his "E.S.P."

Not including catch phrases.... my favorite TV "gimmick" is everyone shouting "NORM!!" whenever Norm entered a room on Cheers.

That's a real good one. :) I ran the Cheer's characters through my mind, but came up empty on Norm. :bonk:

I guess another Norm bit would be the elusive Vera.

Then, there's Diane Chamber's facial tic when she got nervous.
