present it as?

On some shows they will say something like "this person is leaving town to start a new life" or something like that.

I don't know if anybody has seen comercials for the first episode but I wonder what they would call it. If it was a spinoff you would think they would include that in the commercial to maybe help the ratings for it. Some first episode commercials are kind of like trailers if you don't know what I am talking about.

Here is a question I got too. I have only seen one Maude episode and Florida isn't in it. After she left the show did Maude mention her again. Was there a leaving episode for her or what?

I kind of missed the other two (or three or four) threads and couldn't get into it.

Janice posted a video link where Norman Lear said that Good Times was in fact a spinoff.

It was explained that she was going to be a housewife because her husband got a promotion at the firehouse and she didn;t have to work anymore. So basically they were moving up in the world and they all of a sudden they were moving down to southside apt in the sky-lol

ok, I wish Maude was avaliable on TV. I don't really like the character of Maude, but chances are if it was on I would watch it.

Well you are not missing much. It's not the type of show you can watch over and over. The best eps are during the Esther Rolle era
