Who is going to buy the Television Favorites DVD of Alice? I probably will since this may be the only official DVD release of this series. I'd really rather be purchasing Season One.:(

For only $9.95 people might as well buy their own copy.

I understand that, but it is also $9.95 that could be put toward the buying of an expensive set you really want.

For 6 scattered episodes I will get it from Netflix.

Put that $10 towards a future purchase.

I would buy Season 1 though.

I'm definitely buying it. Six episodes is better than no episodes. Alice needs all the help it can get. If it doesn't sell well then there's no chance of season sets.

Ill buy it. Since this is probably a test run by Warner. I have been enjoying the eps on In2tv,

I don't see myself watching the same 6 or 7 episodes over and over. The cost of the DVD equals what I pay for one month's Netflix membership.

10 bucks that i would MUCH rather spend on an Alice Season 1 set.

I wouldn't mind the "Television Favorites" so much if they put a coupon in there for $10 off the Season set when (if) it comes out.

That's being real cheap rob, you are stilling getting SIX EPS. I would never charge someone $10 for 6 eps, more like $18

i wouldn't say that it is being cheap; you have to decide what is going to be the best value for your money, and a "Best of" set at $1.66 an episode, of which i will be STUCK with if they ever release season sets doesnt seem like a good bargain to me.

first season has 24 episodes - it will probably be available for $29.95 (assuming it ever gets released), that is about $1.25 an episode.

I like it my way better :)

I just checked Walmart's website & you can get it there for 8.97. I am buying this DVD & so is my mom. I am not too happy about it only have 6 episodes as well but if your a fan of this show & want season sets buy this DVD. If this DVD does not sell well the chances of seasons sets are slim to none.

I bought mine at TOWER for $6! They are clean and unedited! Now, I have every episode on tape, but they all have commercials and are showing their age a bit. But I am going to have a friend transfer them to DVD for me if they don't release ALL the full seasons. It still kills me how they sell THE REAL WORLD or LAGUNA BEACH seasons, but not a classic like this. One would think that advertising - especially in the SOUTH and SOUTH WEST where the show is modeled from, the DVDs would fly off the shelves. UGH!

But they said this is "testing the waters" to see if it would be even worth putting out a season 1 set---to gauge interest.

Normally I don't buy these types of DVDs either, but for a chance of at least 1 full season of "Alice" I'll order it for 6 or 9 bucks. :)
