I'm sure some of you have the Real Player. I downloaded the real player 8 basic and have had nothing but problems with it for the past several months.(I've even removed it and downloaded another thinking I might have downloaded a bad one but it still doesn't work) It works until you connect the computer and after about 15-20 minutes, it doesn't respond. If you don't connect, it's fine until however long you want. Now, this doesn't sound normal to me. If you find something on the internet, you can't listen to it because the player doesn't respond.(only for about 15 minutes after you connect) The only way it fixes itself is if you restart the computer. I've e-mailed them about it and they told me to do this and do that and nothing has worked. I've tried at least 4 different solutions they've given me. Does anyone else have this problem?

For a lot of sites, that is just a problem of too much internet traffic. It will just keep re-buffering over and over again. There is no easy solution to fix the problem.

I didnt know if I wanted to reply to THIS THREAD because it talks about REAL PLAYER and probably no one but me still has it but I am glad I still have my Realplayer 8+ as I have some music streams that are REAL MEDIA (.rm) and will only play in that....

Although SOME realmedia WILL PLAY in WMP .. Not many but I have found SOME .rm streams that play in my WMP!!

And I will say this REALMEDIA streams sound quite good at lower bitrates..... 32k RM sounds quite good!!!

After v8+ realplayer went to crap. AOL joined the team and it became over bloated garbage with spam ads,etc :(

Just to comment on it,I like finding existing threads that way there isnt multiple threads on the same topic.. It doesnt look good especially on the same base.....

I think its amazing sitcoms is still here since 2001 and it makes me happy being able to reply to such a good thread as this.. (About realplayer)

This stream sounds BETTER than the one I posted above.... This one is a 'REALAUDIO 8' stream... (The other is G2 which I think means Generation 2)
