When we make arrangements for a trade over 2 months ago, you figure we'd be finished by now.

I tried giving you the benefit of the doubt even after other boards have kicked you out on your ASS - But when you ignore e-mails and personal PM's from this site when I know you have been on every single day and corresponded with other traders, means you're back to pulling some of your old stunts you are famous for. (I'll print a neat little bio on her after I get permission from the original author)



Don't make trades and GO through them ONLY when you think it benefits you. Don't try and change things midway through and don't try and bye time always with lies and excuses.

Anyways just want to put it out there for others - you can make up your minds about trading with this person yourself.

i know for a fact that several people have info on this trader

at least 10 have emailed me looking for help with her

this bad trader list, is worthless if people dont come foward and post their factual stories

i will not fight every bad trader battle for youall and have youall sit back there and enjoy a fairly safe trade area

its your duty as board members to help rid the area of poor, bad, etc traders

tell the stories

sometimes it just takes a good wake up jolt to shock them into doing the correct thing,

othertimes, its in the groups best interest to elimate the cancer

either way, dont tell me in private, and dont complain to a moderator , heres your chance to tell the truth , right out in the open

I agree with the notion that things should be kept private if possible.

I agree that communication should start, with those involved only.

But I also feel that many times people fear coming forward, for the fear of being viewed as a trouble maker.
Some fear "retaliation feedback"
I think some fear does more harm then good.
And people often times keep quiet thinking they are keeping the peace- when in all honesty sometimes the direct feedback from joint sources can help a trade change thier ways, or motivate them to see a different perspective.

Feedback, in the way of a complaint can be done kindly- and constructively.
And doesn't have to be done in a harsh or even tarnishing way.

But to avoid dicussing, avoid complaining, and avoid confronting
Certainly wont' solve anything.

I have heard many a viewpoint on this particular user- and while I hope things can be resolved, I also hope that as long as the platform is open it be used to state how some people have felt, quietly.
So that some resolution can be found.

OK Well, It is with a lot of hesitation that I am posting about some problems here... because Collinwood2003 has always seemed like a good person, and I still think she is a nice person.

In fact when this popped up today, I emailed her again and asked her to let me know what was going on, and gave her until dinner time to reply. I waited until later in the evening to hear back and never did.

I have been trading with her ever since I was a newbie on this board. And I can say that I have had the same problems repeatedly. And I think that the reason that I have had these issues is because of "Overeagerness" to trade. You know, Pre-Trading... trading stuff that you DO NOT have yet. This is ALWAYS a bad move.

I will not go into every single trade we have ever had, but I will say that more often than not, I have ended up waiting extreme amounts of time to get missing discs, or replaced discs and so on. And the reason has been that she did NOT have them yet, because the trade had been set up BEFORE she actually got the set in. It happens sometimes, BUT when it happens ALL THE TIME, it gets annoying, 5 weeks wait for the missing batman disc, 3 months for the missing 8 simple rules disc, 2 months for the missing HULK discs, etc....

Also, another problem of the PRE TRADE=== I made a trade for an UNCUT set of a certain show, u know FULL LENGTH versions---NOT SYNDICATED CUTS, and since it was a PRE TRADE i ended up with a 35 disc set of a show, that I allready had complete on 11 discs, SAME QUALITY and SAME LENGTH OF THE EPS, she didnt know i suppose, because it was PRE TRADED before she had it in hand.....

This last trade has been more so than others---- I set up a trade with her for 2 series, JUST SHOOT ME and GROWING PAINS. Both were supposed to be complete......

Well, a good time ago (almost 2 months) I received JUST SHOOT ME (about 4-6 weeks after the trade was set up) and although it was Supposed to be complete, it was missing approximately 40 episodes. I informed her of this at that time, and she told me that Loren had made the set himself and it was complete. SO i checked with Loren---not his work, and I checked the set again, still not complete. So I asked again for it to be fixed. To date, she does NOT have the redos in to her yet, so of course, I do not either.

Growing Pains. This is the set with No menus, supposed to be redone with nice menus and all----well, a month ago or so, I got an email and PM stating that the set "WAS DONE and would ship in the morning".. several days later, still nothing, So I checked again and got the same reply, and again nothing. This happened 3 times and still nothing... then about 10 days ago, I get an email that the set has 2 bad discs? SO i asked HOW CAN IT HAVE 2 bad discs now, when u had it done a month ago? OK Whatever--- so she mailed me 11 of the 13 discs out and was gonna get the 2 bad ones, RIGHT OUT---- well last week i got 9--not 11 of the 13 discs, and asked what happened? and she said she didnt know I needed season 1, even though I had stressed repeatedly that I did. Anyway, she was going to mail out the missing discs--- LAST MONDAY---NOT this monday, BUT A WEEK AGO monday---- and she noticed the set was missing the holiday episodes BUT she had 3 of them on vhs and was gonna transfer those 3 eps on Friday (last week) and mail them right out--- OK, its wednesday now, she lives about 2 hours from me, and STILL not a package with the missing discs, and still not a package with the holiday eps transfered and STILL nothing on the JUST SHOOT ME ( she did mention who she got them from in the UK--- and it appears that she owes HIM some discs, and maybe he aint gonna ship those to her, until he gets what she owes him) PS-- you know who you are UK GUY and i hope u speak up too! :wave:

So after all this time, I have about 2/3 of 1 set and 9 of 13 (well 14 with the holiday eps) of another. I have asked REPEATEDLY what is going on, and I get replies that DO NOT ANSWER ANY OF THE QUESTIONS AT ALL. I have asked for SPECIFIC information such as 1. DO U HAVE THE JUST SHOOT ME REDOS on the way to you or not? 2. DID U MAIL THE G.P. Discs? 3. DID U TRANSFER the 3 holiday eps or not? and I have gotten no replies. Now mind u, the 9 i got look nice---- BUT it should not be like pulling teeth to get trades done!

ALSO, It has been brought to my attention that she has asked ANOTHER TRADER I DEAL WITH A LOT, I wont "OUT" him unless he wants to verify it, that she asked him to get some discs she needs from me, DISCS THAT I AM SUPPOSED TO SEND TO HER AFTER SHE GETS ME WHAT SHE OWES ME--- and the fact that she asks another person to get them FOR HER--- does not build much faith or confidence that she will fix this matter anytime soon.

ALSO, on MARCH 30th (U CAN ALL CHECK) she posted THIS about having DR KILDAIRE complete-----

I am checking this over to make sure all the epsiodes are there. Did a quick check and it goes up to 191 now I"m doing the a more better check.

She had asked If I wanted THAT SET also, 6 weeks ago, and EVEN THOUGH she stated that it has all 191, I have been informed that the set is missing like 30-40 eps, and she is scrambling to get them from other members ( YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE "OTHER MEMBERS" and I HOPE YOU SPEAK UP TOO!) Then I get emails stating that she has CORRECTED the missing eps and theyre on the way, and then next email, they are not.. and on and on.

WHY IS THIS ALL HAPPENING?????? Pre-Trading! When a trader sets up trades with stuff THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE YET--- this junk will happen. It appears that Collinwood2003 had the best of intentions and was overly eager to get some new stuff REAL FAST and she set up trades for stuff that she was GETTING in soon--- well if u dont have it in hand, YOU DO NOT KNOW if it is complete, or if it is working, or what the deal is--- and u end up shipping out sets that are all messed up, or have missing discs, eps etc---

I have been contacted by other members who are SUPPOSED to get sets that may or may not be in hand yet---- and although she meant well-- the fact that I have 2 sets in hand, both of which are NOT completed, or even close and its been like 2 months waiting on redos on 1, and several weeks on the other---- THIS IS WHY TRADERS SHOULD NEVER Trade a set until they get it in and get it checked and make sure its in order.

WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES---- we all end up with a set we thought was complete but was missing an ep or 2, we all get in too deep and get behind sometimes--- it happens. BUT i have been informed that this has been going on FOR YEARS, not occasionally BUT MORE OFTEN THAN NOT--- and it has to stop--- no matter how eager you might be, DO NOT TRADE STUFF TIL U GET IT IN HAND! never, ever, ever, ever

Now what has happened, is that a bunch of traders are all expecting stuff, and it appears that it is all a big display of dominoes--- with trader X owed stuff, and that stuff is NOT in hand yet because Trader Y is waiting for the stuff that she is supposed to get from Trader Z and on and on and on and on...... and all it takes is one chink in the armor to make it all fall apart.

So for the record---- I can say this, YES collinwood2003 IS INDEED A nice person, I like her as a person and think she is a good soul. YES I have gotten some great sets from her, some that I was really glad to have. NO i do not think she needs to go on the Bad Trader List (at least not just yet or just b/c of my issues) and NO I do not want this to become personal at all.

WHAT DO I WANT? Well, I want her to fix this mess and get back on track.... she needs to get in touch and quickly and correctly fix the situations she now has with several traders, I really would like to have tehse sets, and have them fixed and usable----

This is NOT a situation with a person like WOLF11 or sue maples, because Collinwood2003 CAN BE a good trader when she doesnt jump the gun, and she CAN BE a valuable member of the trading post-----

I just want this to be fixed, and to have some real communication that actually answers the questions asked and then, do not pre-trade for sets u do not have in hand yet..... it makes no sense.... if it is a super rare set--- then take the time, check it out and make sure u know what you are talking about BEFORE you set up a trade..... it is MUCH EASIER to tell people, that you will EMAIL THEM when u get it in, then to have to stall and delay and BS people for 3 or 4 months while u scramble about and try to fix it after the fact. I know that collinwood2003 has heard this before, b/c I have been contacted with people who had these same issues 2 YEARS AGO....

maybe its time to take a serious look at things and make it right. sometimes the best thing to do is to admit you screwed up and be straight with everyone and let us know what is going on

I have been contacted in the last 2 weeks by SEVERAL members with similar issues---- and I hope that you all post what is going on too, you dont have to be mean or make it personal, BUT problems like this can be resolved, peacefully by dealing with them direct

Angie was the first person I ever traded with off this board. I even let her "barrow" some of my master tapes so she could transfer them to DVD before I was able to do it myself. I never had any problems with her at all. Hopefully she comes through with the trade.

Since this issue has been brought up, first by Joker, and then Lamont- Collinwood if you feel comfortable, maybe you can try to talk out, owrk out some of the conflicting messages that seem to be frustrating at least 2 of the users here?

If not here, I would encourage you to discuss it privately- but to approach it with facts and set guidelines.

Such as, instead of saying "id like to trade growing pains for sabrina- something more concerete :

I have Growing pains, on 25 discs. It is missing 12 episodes. I can mkae copies and send out Friday the 16th. I will put delivery conf on the package.

I think sometimes as we get older in our trades and more comfortable- sometimes we assume things, and take for granted some ideas and choices that might not be choices, but expectations.

I dont think any user expects a trade of discs out overnight, but most do want, and expect a set date- and when those items to arrive
It to be what they were expecting- in many cases they are for another trade.
so when a package comes short of 12 episodes, or missing discs- it is and can be very frustrating to them-

I have also found, as we trade and get more comfortable we CHECK our own items less.

I recently swore my set of Always Sunny Burned- and was wrong and dispaointed a couple traders- now trying to replace it.

Another time, I had traded with someone so often I just assumed everything was fine, and realized months later a certain brand of media was incompatable with my machines, and frustrated both of us, simply because I didn't check sooner.
So what could have been only 20 discs to replace, turned out to be hundreds.

Don't assume, always check your stuff so that your media is as reliable as you are.


Just some humble opinions.

I think a few members are looking for closure and feel this is a repetative situation- and yes a few have asked my advice- which you are aware of- since I approached you.
So since the point and opinions are out in the public, maybe you can dicuss them and come to a compromise?

But to only reply, stating some discs went out to a user who posted- doesn't help resolve anything :(

You don't have to do it publically, but I think you will find some constructive criticism, and maybe some hellpful advice can be had in the forums.

The only way this statement will have any meaning to me is if the date of the postmark on the package is any date before today.

- if it's marked May 11th (tomorrow's date) or later, the only thing I along with any others in similar situations with you will be able to conclude is, that you are trying to save face after receiving some negative feedback.

-I can understand if someone is tired with work or other commitments and can't complete an order or trade but when old trades are getting pushed back in favor of new ones, well .....


I didn't post this to "scare" you into sending me anything. Believe me, I can find anything i want to add to my list with a couple of e-mails.

The purpose was to alert others of how you have operated in the past - apparently a lot of people are not happpy with you for various reasons. Hopefully people will approach you with caution from now on.

I also agree, there's only a select few of us who take chances and are willing to take the bullet for the group (in retaliation feedback) but so be it. It's a dirty job, but somebody's got do it

OR SHOULD I SEND WITH THE WHOLE TRADE?" and she said " JUST SEND WITH THE WHOLE TRADE" so that was the deal, we agreed to it and made it official. I am sorry that now she has had months of issues in fulfilling the trade, BUT that was what SHE agreed to and I aint changing it in mid stream---- BECAUSE I fear that if i were just to send out the 3 redos now, THEN I WILL NOT GET THIS RESOLVED for another 3 months.

So there is NO NEED for anyone to ask any other trader to GET THOSE 3 DISCS b/c mean old lamont wont send them, b/c i will send EVERYTHING we agreed on once this deal is complete----- IN FACT THE STUFF IS ALL READY AND DONE AND WAITING and has been for over 2 months.

PLEASE let me know what is up, IF U CANNOT FIX THIS MATTER< please let me know so i can look elsewhere for it, IF U CAN, and i really hope u can then do so and post me the facts.

all the problems that were touched on, all the issues CLEARLY stated, information requested

had this been a one time oopsie, or mistake, it would be easy to pass off and move along

the trouble is it hasnt been an oopsie or mistake, but rather a behavior pattern

i have a completely different set of the same problems with her, as lamont

angie has always been a very nice person, thats not at question

whats at question is why a supposely honest and nice person, runs into the same thing time aftre time, and now it seems she has taken the excuse habit into the flat out lie habit

i love the one she wrote to lamont that the just shoot me set was a loren creation, i never had that set, or any part of it,

what kinda liar tells lamont a story about me??

not a very smart liar, since we speak a few hours a week, on the phone

a bit of history

i made a swap to get a rockford files set from angie last year

well after numerous set backs and excuses, something came in the mail

the rockfords were only 45 eps short, on a 120 episode set

so she claims theres 3 discs that were poor and shes waiting on them

so now theres 15 hours of eps on each of those three discs??

since 45 eps are missing

after about three weeks of more excuses

i returned the 40 some discs and made a deal to get a 23 discs set in its place, so i loose 22 discs at best plus the postage

but i get something eventualy

guess what

the 23 disc set isnt complete either

three discs missing and after another month

i found them elsewhere

i wrote it off as a learning experience


next adventure

she emails and has this and that

another adventure was had and more problems

but smooth in the angie scope of things


then another offer for a trade and of cousre, this time she has it in hand and its all good, she made the set

well i got the 8 simple rules and of cousre its not complete either

i end up getting the fillers from from another person after the normal excuses and lengthy wait

at this point im done with angie

flat out, the only way i would play anymore, is if she sends first


she emails and says she has this and that, and i just pass it off

then she gets caught again

she makes a deal with another person for incredable hulk--uncut

her own creation

well she seems to be quite a bit short of her set

so she begs me for some to fill her in, she actualy sends me what shes supposed to this time, of cousre i insisted she send first

guess what now??

she adds my shows to the rest of hers and tries to pass them off as uncut

well mine werent, and neither were hers

none of the set is uncut

its the same set i had all along, just on more discs now

oh my goodness

she knew mine werent uncut, i told her they werent

now shes off the list for good of my avaible traders

she still emails me , and now shes after some other fillers , i just pass, i knew they were part of lamonts deal

so she says, i promise to not tell lamont if you send me these---wrong--i dont play that stuff, their deal--or mess has nothing to do with me, i stay clear

she strying to bypass giving him his stuff, hes holding these for ransom

more time passes

she then emails and promises me she has a kildare set complete on 80 discs

she says ____ will not give her perfect strangers, so she will give me kildare for prefect and some other stuff to equal 80 discs

i run the you send first and ill verify it, and send your stuff

so no risk on my part--i think

well here it goes again

excuses after excuses

i swear 6 different ship dates came and went

more problems etc

then the old, well its 76 good discs and im waiting on 3 redos

i guess she figures no one has phones or email, since i found she was trying to make a deal for 30 plus filler episodes

i told her long ago

ship what you have in hand

i woulld rather have 3./4 of a set, than nothing, on a old and hard to get show from the 60s

but i need to know it before the deal gets made , if its full or what %

more and more ship dates go by and that leads up to yesterdays celeberty roast

and to make matters even more jumbled

she finds time to sell things on ioffer during this entire mess

but cant find the time to follow through on trade obligations

so now just last night i get another email that says she shipped my stuff yesterday

i believe this is either 7 or 8 ship dates now on this package

but still no del con for the package, even though i made that part of the original deal, i know how poor mail system is in that region of the country

and its the same promise i got last wednesday, the same one i got for a monday ship, and now all of a sudden another promise


it really blows when a person falls into the pit like this, could she been reported the first time she had a problem, perhaps

i dont make reports on 95% of the people who have screwed up the works

its reserved for people who are just flat out thieves

and their names are well documented,and they earned their spot on the bad trader list

i didnt put angie in that class at all,

but i do have to report this and also the fact that she has demonstarted the new poor habit of telling lies, and worst of all telling one here to cover up for one over there

i think she has a real passion for the shows, and i know she gets all excited about getting new stuff, so much so that it consumes her

but im sure we have all heard that idea before

with her new poor habit of lies, and her constant pattern of not sending what shes supposed to, i now need to change my opinion and add her as a candidate to the bad trader list,

anyone can get into a hole, angie has shown zero effort to stop and dig out, she repeats the same thing over and over

and just last night she emails me and blames old junk yard boy lamont for her troubles, since he didnt send the fillers for the two sets, its caused her this set of problems

sorry but she had a boat load of issues way way previous to any lamont involvement

its sad to make excuses and blame others for your mess

was it lamonts fault that you lied about the rockfords last year as well???

even if she did send the stuff she claims, and even if she did send to chris on whatever date---

that still doesnt cover the long laundry list of issues that she has outstanding


i submit her name, as a candidate , for the bad trader list

in the interest of fairness

we should stick to first hand facts in this and any case like it

if michael, or stinky223, or whomever has an issue with angie

let them come foward and tell their story

here-say is not fair at all

...and people wonder why I've reduced my trading activities to a select few traders....

I would like to share my experience with Collinwood2003.

The first trade I set up with her was through another board, and I traded her for the 36 disc Family Ties sets. The set ended up taking weeks and weeks to get to me, when I finally got the set, every disc worked fine, except 2 discs were missing. I emailed Collinwood over and over, finally saying they were going out. After another significant amount of time, I emailed again, and she said she would send the 2 discs again.

Well, I never got the 2 discs from her, after another week or so, I went to MichealRandazzo and got the replacements from him. I think she mentioned padding future packages more so they are not lost, I don't know.

After that, I avoided trading with her for some time, until recently when she messaged me about a set I was after. We set up a 40 disc trade, but this time she agreed to send first, I figured that would give me a couple weeks to get the discs burned. Well, after 6 weeks, I got the discs, all in working order. Everyone gets behind with real life or whatever, but whenever I am going to be late on a trade, I try my best to let people know.

I don't think bad traders should be limited to people who only rip people off. Collinwood has been nice to me, and the discs have come through, but compared to every other good trade I have had, these 2 have been the longest.

ITS A QUESTION OF A YEARS LONG pattern of consistently trading things that SHE DOES NOT EVEN HAVE YET
a pattern of KNOWINGLY sending out pacakges with missing discs, and often not even telling people they were missing
a pattern of leaving people waiting for months and months for the missing discs and often NOT SENDING THEM EVER
and people having to get replacements elsewhere

keep in mind, this is NOT a 1 time thing or a 2 time thing, or even a 10 time thing, THIS IS A MORE OFTEN THAN NOT THING

and YES i do like her and all, BUT i think people have all just gotten really tired of having to deal with this each and every trade

and when she asked Loren to get her the 3 discs she needs from me, that really was the last straw, b/c it sent a message to me that she was NOT gonna do right by me

I don't want to discount the complaints made about Collinwood2003, but I've been trading with her for almost three years. All of my DVD trading experiences with her have been very positive, and she's always replaced defective discs within a decent amount of time.

im glad that you have not had these problems that the rest of us have had---- maybe u r lucky, maybe she likes u, maybe she swaps with u after she actually gets the sets

but i do know that i have had at least half a dozen troubled swaps with her and we have allready heard from loren, spooky, joshinkc and joker about the same thing, I know of 3 other members who have not yet posted with the same issues and a moderator as well

I have made about seven trades with Angie, I have always gotten what we agreed upon. It has taken a little longer then I had wanted it to, but she does send it out, and if there is a coaster she does jump through hoops to make it right.

This last trade was for about 300 disk's and it has been longer then I would have liked, but we are down to Darma and Greg and one replacement disk.

I can say, she has always returned my emails, a couple days after I send it. I understand some people don't check email daily. I would say be patient and she will come thru. I would trade with her again, I just know ahead of time it will take awhile.

I know if I trade with Loren, Lamont, Joker, Padre and some others, that the next day or so, my stuff is on the way. With Angie I know it will take longer, no worries I am ok with that.

I don't know her personally and she is not my girlfriend or wife, this is my opinion, I know we all have them. Thanks and God Bless

It's frustrating because after 10-12 weeks of waiting you don't know if you should just say FORGET it and go and get what she was supposed to send you from someone else - and then 2 days later, the package arrives and you have to fullfill that end of the trade with her also. What do you do then?

We've all traded with her numerous times, with varying degrees of success. Mistakes happen some times sure, and we've all overlooked them in the past and we've continued to trade with this person despite that, so we're not exactly piling on here.

The comments left here by me yesterday was my experience with this trader. Just as we leave positive comments for trades that go well, it's just as useful to read & post about trades that didn't go down as well.
Some people may not mind the waiting, some people do however. It's a personal preference on the way some of us like to operate. I like working with people that share my opinion - doesn't mean it's right or wrong.

I would much prefer finding out anything I can about a trader beforehand if possible. It could save me a lot of wasted time and energy down the road.

I am not talking about a LITTLE BIT LONGER HERE, i am talking about SEVERAL MONTHS, and the reason for such a mess is that she traded the items to me BEFORE SHE EVEN HAD THEM IN HER HANDS, and she is waiting on redos from others, BUT they are not sending them out because THEY are waiting on redos from her and on and on and on....
that is what happens when u tell too many tall tales!!!

Well I think bad or good, the source should always be considered when feedback is left.

If someone has low expectations of a trade, they are going to be more easily satisifed then someone else.
And it doesn't matter if you have 5 people that can praise you, it doesn't negate the complain in question as it is relevent to you personally.
How does it help Lamont, if Angie traded Jen successfully?

And i think in all fairness because Angie had a good track record with other people this has gone unresolved far longer and in private then any other trader would have.

Meanwhile, as Lamont said- Specific questions were asked- and in private emails or here, the questions were zoomed over, and not answered.
How is anything to be resolved that way.

I agree 100% with Savage's comments and for the record I had 2 good trades with Angie last year BUT

As much as I hate to add any fuel here- I also have not heard from her-

I emailed directly, to see if there was anything that I could do.
So I emailed point blank, as I have received complaints.
Some are here, some are from users who have not yet posted, or felt posting was unneeded. Each has their own peragative-
However, as this is public I would like to state 2 things.


1-Sometimes there is pressure, once something comes to the public forum. Sometimes people are afraid to say anything, they are worried of being judged- and they are worried of being attacked.

I would hope this isn't the case here- as many have said- Angie HAS come through many times before.
she has had some great trades- and although there are complaints here- there is NOTHING here that isn't fixable
There is nothing here, that isn't work throughable.

It can be overwhelming to have so much criticism at once, and the fact is- no one but Angie, knows what personal emails she is getting.
So if a few complained here, there is the chance a few people confronted her privately as well.

Although this post was made, and it can be overwhelming-
I am also going to disclose, NOTHING here hadn't been mentioned previously.
And nothing said, hadn't been said, asked, requested and stated privately- many times before this came to the forum.
So ample time, and offers were made.

I say this, becuase Lamont just made the comment about fear of being viewed a bully for not sending particular items.
And I myself, discussed the situation with both before this, anda ny items not being sent are not for therat sake, but simply becuase obligations weren't meant.


The simple fact is this- we ALL get overwhelmed.
We ALL get eager, over eager, sometimes greedy.
I am sure many of us has counted on a trade, and been a little presumptious we were getting it- counted on it and maybe traded it before checking it.
And i KNOW many of us in larger trades have lacked the responsibility of checking each disc- and fouble checking quality or episode counts.
Its going to be a low percentage of users that know EVERYTHING they have, and know it burns, works without doubt.

In this case, I feel the best thing to do, is start with the basics Angie-
Which is take a deep breath and start from scratch so to speak
Make a list

What do I owe to who
What replacments am I getting
How can I resolve this?

No user here is cursing you out saying ban her-
The only thing I have heard is frustration and that you might* be a canidate for the bad trader list- which is still redemable.
But I can't impress this upon you enough, communication is going to be the best tool here.

I think some people are waiting for things still, and quite honestly sick of waiting.
And when they collectively compare notes-

Its very frsutration to hear that you have started, and completed other trades, WHILE they were still waiting.
2-Hearing some trades did get completed and resolved, makes one wonder why they aren't on that list-and that can build resentment
and
3-when a direct question or complaint, or confrontation is made- and wether private or public nothing is stated as to a direct asnwer to help resolve things-
That more than ANYTHING else makes you sound like a bad trader.

So if you can, make a list-
Contact people with your intentions and an offer of what you can send- and one by one you will find the frustration fade- as well as your tarnished reputation.

Just my opinion.

it does anger me
when a trader has MANY MANY people waiting on stuff for MONTHS AND MONTHS
not just 1 or 2 or 3 BUT MANY people for months

and they do not reply to questions and do not attempt to resolve these messes made by trading sets you dont have yet, and then trading the stuff u r SUPPOSED to get in return for that

BUTTTT they have time to sell stuff on other sites and time to set up NEW TRADES (as i am aware that she just set up a 50+ disc trade this week-- EVEN AFTER all this came out)

and yet all i get is the same tired emails, asking me the same question CAN U SEND ME THESE DISCS? and ignoring my questions

that does get me mad, and YES

she is a nice person and has done some nice trades with some people, BUT THIS THREAD WAS STARTED a couple of days ago, and so far collinwood has NOT made any attempt that I can see to resolve any of it

I have gotten half a dozen emails from her since this started and NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THEM answered a SINGLE ONE of my questions to her

all she has done is keep asking me to BREAK THE RULES OF THE TRADE that SHE and i set up and both AGREED TO, and to send her some discs she needs--- EVEN THOUGH I AINT GOT SQUAT YET----

if this keeps up, and nothing changes, then it looks like it will end up ugly :( :( :(

Sometimes things get SO tense and SO frsutrating a simpler solution helps.


What I am proposing is in essence, she owes you at this time I believe 6 discs.

She feels you owe her 3.

My suggestion is send them to a third party.
Myself or another whom is willing.

Once BOTH sets of discs are received, the party should check them, verify them
And then on the same day with delivery conf send to the opposit parties.

Therefore meeting the obligations, and neither party has to be the first to send, wondering if the other will

I offer my time and the postage cost to do this- if it will help resolve this.

the TRUTH ( i know that is a word that Collinwood2003 is NOT familiar with at all) but the TRUTH is that she owes me this EXACTLY

1. JUST SHOOT ME, about 6 or 8 missing discs--- This set came to me "Complete" over 2 months ago--- I told her THE SAME DAY IT CAME--- ( i can forward her emails stating this if needed) that the set had only 90some episodes--- out of about 140 or so--- she has had over 2 months to get me the missing discs--- BUT apparently she got them from Spooky in the UK and hes been waiting LONGER THAN ME for stuff from her--- so i fully understand why he does NOT want to send her the missing discs---- so she owes me those ( i can forward her emails stating this if needed) :(

2. she owes me several discs of GROWING PAINS-- she said she sent me 11 of them a few weeks ago---- she sent 9, so she owes me all of the 1st season and there are still 2 missing discs, that she owes me, so thats, what? 4 total ( i can forward her emails stating this if needed) she said she was sending those 2 mondays ago and never did :(

3. she owes me 3 missing growing pains eps that she has on VHS tapes, and she "supposedly" transfered them to DVD-R last friday ( i can forward her emails stating this if needed) she said she was sending those on monday and never did :(

That is all that she owes me, and the deal we had in place (set up like 3+ months ago now) was that she would send me the JUST SHOOT ME and GROWING PAINS sets and then i would send her the set she wanted + 3 Heres Lucy discs, + 3 redos she needed + 2 redos she needed that she never got from me, but i was gonna toss in to her for free

I WILL GLADLY send them to Savageamusement and allow you to hold them until its resolved (BUTTTT that might be years), however, i do not think you should have to pay the extra postage for HER mess, i think its fair that she pick up the tab

ALSO, i Have emailed collinwood2003 and i have told her that if she CANNOT fulfill the trade to JUST BE HONEST and tell me, its not the end of the world, and i would much rather have her tell me I SCREWED UP AND CANNOT GET THE STUFF and be honest, then have her keep B.S.ing me and dragging it on for eternity

What it comes down to is this

1-she obviously made mistakes in your trade., a clear enough asnwer wasn't being given to you- and she wanted items from you that you weren't sending till you got hers, and she felt/feels you wont send her those- so by me recieving both, eliminates any trust.
Especially since this is known publically.

2-Your right Lamont, I don't think trades should trades with you should have been started when she had outstanding items. I agree.
And while this is an outstanding issue, I don't think she should have traded another. Let alone selling.

3-A history of being removed, or suspended at other boards does matter, and does show a history of problems- which is why I am so involved in this-


She has been trading a long time, which is why SOME of this shouldn't be an issue.
But then again, that is why some of this IS an issue.
People gave more leway, and some trades were set up based on trust, not performance.

It is a shining example of how as time goes by, our expectations drop, and trust replaces quality.

But I think that has been made abundantly clear to her, and drilled in- and I would hope with such awareness this is a reality check for her her- through reputation, and repetition.

But ever the same, she is willing to work with me/you on this- and that does say something.
So I am willing to give her the opportunity to fix this through me at my time and effort- in the hopes that because this became such a big deal she will utilize the feedback to be a better trader next time.
Or, I'll be honest, that should this happen again, she won't be trading here at all.

Either way, change will be forced. But I am willing to give it the beenfit of doubt.
It's always a shame when a trade gets this frustrating.

And at the same time, I bet there are a lot of people who read this, who are learning or nodding their heads. SO maybe this will be beneficial vicariously

if she had any interest in making right by me, she would not have told me falsely that Loren made the set (i guess she didnt realize id just call him up and ask) and trying to pass the problem off onto him

if she had any interest in making right by me-- she would NOT have told me to get with Spooky to get the missing discs because it was his fault (again, passing the problem off)

As this has been going on, I am trying to help- but also keep things straight.

It seems some items are owed to one another, that each has- wiating for the other.

Yeah that confused me too.

There is no doubt that trading skills are not up to par here.

I hear that now, under the threat of being banned and after being publicly outdated and slammed for the years of bad trading and dishonesty, she is FINALLY sending people what she has owed them for months (WELL SOME OF IT--- like for instance how she CANNOT get me the JUST SHOOT ME DISCS SHE OWES ME AFTER ALL THESE MONTHS)

BUT-- by keeping the threads active, NOW Marcus posts that HE TOO has had problems with her--- the same problems

Regardless of the turnout of this whole mess, i honestly do believe that she should be a VERY STRONG Candidate for the Bad Traders and Banned Lists

Just to clarify my situation with Angie. She owes me 1 disc, because she had a problem disc in the Dharma and Greg series (1 disc out of a 40 disc trade). She told me about it and said that she plans to ship it as soon as she can get a replacement or re-record the eps.

This was my only trade with her. I didn't have any other issues and she has been very friendly in our exchanges (if a bit slow in responding).

As not eveyrone checks feedback or even the bad trader list- that was part of the motivation to suspend the account, so that new trades could not be started until this was resolved.

I was hesitant to add her to the bad trader list, or even furthor action - due ot her communication and the confirmation numbers given-
as I hoped that was a sign things were being resolved.

Lamont knows that she has made some good trades in the past but this post is not about the past. I had 2 good (slow but good) trades as well but obviously recently she has messed up with many traders.

It is good to stand up for people but obviously we are exceptions to the rule. I comend people for bringing stuff like this up whether it is unpopular or not. I certainly wont be making any trades with her because of this post where if people had not spoken up I could be the next person on the list.

The issue isn't wether or not she has ever had good trades.

I think it is because she HAS traded since long, and because she has had good trades- that people didn't come forward faster-
and the reason they were so forgiving.

But the fact is, if she has had good trdes that means she is capable-
So why capable with a handful- and why so bad with others

Being a good trader isn't something yo udo selectively.

And aside from that, I can see having 1 or 2 trades going.
I can even see having an oustanding trade, being under the assumption you can fix it, so moving on.
But 8 outstanding trades>?
And then, continuing to trade and sell.

No, that just isn't really responsible.

Its been proven she has dropped the ball thus far- for more cases than not.

However, after this mcuh concentrated energy and awareness, her package to konfusion was wrong.
And when i wrote her tonight, she said she woudl correct it and send out tomrorow.

actually i would have wrote something here right away but i wasnt really paying attention to the thread. this is one thing i dont understnd. why make a trade for something you dont have in hand. Its one thing to say ya im getting this set. then its another to try to set up a trade when u dont have it with you. ok now i dont mind extra stuff but can i atleast get whats owed first. i dont want extras that are all out of order missing discs as an excuse to by time from whats really owed. cause even that i cant watch from begining cause the first disc is missing lol. its a pain in the butt to start watching a show and u get stuck cause theres those missing episodes that they claimed to have before the trade. But then they dont so u have to wait months before u can finish.. like seriously dont add sets to the trade you dont have complete and claim its got all the discs.

There is no information.

I have played through- and I am comparing it to the episode guide I found online-
and have labled three episodes.
I also emailed Angie to ask her what is supposed ot be on it-
But according to lamont I don't think this is an accurate package.

I know Season 1 is-
But the three misc discs - don't have episodes on it, that they should.
And why one disc has no episode information on it, for 12 episodes is beyond me.


I think that addresses all the information on this package.
So it looks half right.
but in all honesty- the half that is right- Lamont could have gotten from anyone- its a retail release as well now- so he could have bought it.
I think its the 3 other discs that were important on this one.
I'll wait for him to post/reply.

the SUPPOSED hold up was that angie had 3 holiday episodes NOT IN THE SET on vhs and she was SUPPOSED to transfer those 3 to dvd for me--- i guess she did NOT do that like she said

also--- ALL OF THE DISCS were supposed to be re-edited with menus on them and commercials taken out--- she apparently didnt get that done either

Not that I want this to keep going, you can't beat a dead horse forever you know-
But I was told Angie is sending more packages tomorrow.

I have one user who has said forget it at this point, he has gotten the items elsewhere.

Another user who has gotten half replaced from another user-
So as the packages have proven not to be correct, and these are replacements upon replacements- I know one user was waiting for the Nude Bomb-
which ironically is sitting in the pile of discs that I was to send Angie, had her packge been correct.
It wasn't.
So as I stepped in, and even upon the threat of suspension, somehow things are still wrong-aside from moderator involvement, and consequences to an account
My hands are tied at that point, other than doing the trades myself (sigh)

If anyone wants to add anything to this, as a few packages are outstanding- so be it-
but it looks like the advice from another moderator way in the beginning would have saved a lot of time and effort, and that was -"Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice shame on me"

You get the idea.

I'm sorry things aren't working out better, and apologize to those who have given up and replaced them on their own now.
But in all honesty it is getting the show that is the ultimate goal- nad maybe that was in fact the painless way to go :(

SINCE ANGIE IS SUSPENDED i thought I would post updates for everyone

she emailed me SEVERAL Times last night---explaining why the package she sent was WRONG YET AGAIN!!!


1 question, was WHY THE LAST DISC DIDNT HAVE MENUS??? LIKE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO she says

"I didn't have time to put titles on that disc but I know what the titles are I could email them to you. And I was only doing the trasnfer disc as a favor. It wasn't a part of the original trade. However I can still send it to you. "

SHE DIDNT HAVE TIME TO PUT THE EPISODE TITLES ON THE DISC????? does it somehow take more time to type out the episode titles, than to just type GROWING PAINS over and over?????? andddddd the reason for the long delay SHE SAID was that she had to put titles on all the eps???

Doing me a favor???? lets see---- the set was ORIGINALLY to be a complete set---- she realized it was NOT complete and was missing half a dozen eps, BUT she had 3 on vhs and was gonna add them in to make it LESS INCOMPLETE---- ok, how is that a favor? the trade was for a COMPLETE SET--- i was doing HER a favor by still honoring the trade EVEN WHEN SHE REALIZED IT WAS NOT COMPLETE AT ALL

so i pointed out that she has NOT fixed ANYTHING---- she just mailed out a bunch of INCORRECT items to people to stall. MAD AT HER??? i think we are all pretty mad at her, and doing B.S. like sending me, joey, konfusion the wrong stuff does not help. as for DR KILDAIRE and doing the "best she can"---- no maam, the BEST YOU CAN is NOT to set up trades with people for sets that you do NOT HAVE YET--- if u had not traded the dr kildaire before u had it then none of that mess would have happened.

I confronted Angie when I received the package for Lamont.
And I am glad that I did mediate on this-becuase as he suspected the package wasn't right.
It was supposed to be labeled fully it wasn't.
It was supposed to contain the Halloween episodes it didn't
It was to contain the X-mas episodes, it didn't.

She wrote me 2 weeks ago when this first started, and stated to me the same above-
She verified this is what she was sending out.
When I confronted her-
She said the holiday episodes were a favor to Lamont she would get them out later.
And she didn't have time to lable the episodes.

Which was the entire point of the trade.

She at that time asked me if I did receive Lamonts items- which I had-
and asked me- although she didn't send what she had to
Could I copy them and send them to her.

I have been trying to be objective- and give the benefit of the doubt
But asking me to do that, not only goes against my ethics- but as well, goes against the entire point of mediating- to keep things honest.

I emailed her, and told her I would not lie for her, or help her get things she didnt earn by completing her trades-
I told her to email me and let me know what she planned on doing-
I recieved no email.
She had told me she woudl email me more delivery conf numbers- I received nothing.
She asked me to have lamont stop emailing her-
then proceeded to email him 5-6x a day.
And told me she would comply with the mediation by providing direct asnwers to questions, which she did not.
And confirmation numbers for all - which she did not.
And correct packages which they were not

So the entire structure of the mediation fell apart.

Therefore, you will notice suspension has moved to banning-
That does not mean that she is not responsible for her current trades.
It means she can not create MORE trades through this site- unless someone takes the choice to do it via email

But I also want to point out as she is banned she can not reply or defend herself- so please keep any future conversations, in the factual sense- no slander, or off topic posts please.

As the other packages are received feel free to post- and or correct the situations amongst yourself as you choose-
But as far as the expecations of the board to be a current active trader, right now she is not meeting that expectation.

we ALL get behind, we all make mistakes, we all screw up package sometimes

it happens, no way around it---- the more u trade, the more mistakes u are bound to make

BUT when a person trades for things they do not have yet, or claims that she has things that she doesn't have at all ---- this is BOUND to happen

honesty is always the best way to go---- savageamusement can verify this fact--- I told her BEFORE i mailed the discs to her for angie--- i told her that if angie would just be honest and say she was sorry for lying to me and creating such a mess--- that she had my permission to send them to Angie FOR FREE! to help her get out of this mess (BY THE WAY that offer NO LONGER STANDS!) and I told angie that if she couldnt fulfill the trade to just be honest with me and we could work it out--- I gave her A WAY OUT! But she still chose to keep lying--- DENY DENY DENY :(

so take a good look at this thread and how it progressed and learn from it, dont make the same mistakes angie made, and if you do screw up that badly-- ADMIT YOU MESSED UP and ask for help in fixing it HONESTLY and DIRECTLY! b/c if she had done so when she was given the chance, she might not be banned now and might have all this mess fixed

HOWEVER, I do commend savageamusement for going Above and Beyond the call of duty on this one

but she can only do so much, when the other party choses to lie at every opportunity

not the best solution, none of us STILL have what we are owed, BUT at least its resolved

To update my situation, Angie apparently sent 2 packages out to me. The first was on May 13th a couple of days after she told us she had already sent - so obviously it was only after we turned on the heat.

She did get a tracking number and that package is showing up as delivered on May 23rd on both the USPS and Canada Post websites, but the funny thing is - IT NEVER ARRIVED AT MY DOOR. I have spent the last couple of days trying to track it down or possibly get an explanation of what could have happened. My mail is pretty reliable - I don't think I've ever had a package lost or missing - delayed at Customs perhaps, but never lost.

There's two possible explanations, the package was mis delivered by the post office or Angie in her haste to get all the trades out, wrote the wrong street address on the box (the town is correct according to the deliv. conf. #) and it was delivered somewhere else. I filed a claim with the Post Office to see if they could do anything. In both cases the only chance of finding it is if the receiver does a "return to sender" which is very unlikely.

Maybe this is a case of bad luck but then again, maybe it's not.

I'll update again if that 2nd package ever makes it to my house.

had to send SOMETHING OUT

so that she could CLAIM it was the post office fault and NOT hers

i cannot say for 100% BUTTTTTTTTT given the fact that she has told 1000 lies allready on this topic

Lamonts pacakge was wrong, I verified that- I am now aiting for a new package.

Ricks pacakge was countless discs that were incorrect-
He is waiting for a new package

Lorens package isn't correct- I wont give specific details, but wrong episode count, wrong disc count

Jokers package is at the wrong address, might be bad luck- but to no responsibility of his, as he didn't write out the address label obviously.

I have said this before- but it stuns me, this many problems.
It can't all be bad luck. It can't all be misfortune.
At some point responsiblity comes down to 3 things

1-This many remake pacakges can only be becuase original packages were incorrect.
2-For the years Angie has been trading (and I said this to her directly) you don't trade what you dont have, and don't check.
3-When you are fixing things becuase of previous problems- you verify, double check and accurately replace items.

Getting a pacakge to lamont wiht unlabeled episodes because you "didn't have time" when that was in fact, the point of the trade-
Doesn't fly.
And sending completely the wrong items to Rick, when an accurate list was given three times by email- doesn't fly.
Even something as getting the address right-is a basic item you can double check and make error proof.


So far NOT ONE problem I have seen, couldn't have been avoided.
And the fact 2 users have spoken up and said their trade went ok- Agent13, and April shows one of two things
1-She simply lucked out, by the sure basic chance of things.
or
2-She KNOWS how to trade correctly, and just isn't doing it consistantly.

Either way this has been dragging on MONTHS at this point- even with moderator attention, even with recent, ongoing active threads-

To me the waste of time for such things is utterly unbelievable.

After 2 months of my involvement-
I recived today, Angie's Discs-

All burn
All Play
All have menues
All have the correct episodes

I backed them up in a temp file- and will ship them out to Lamont tomrorow, tracked-
And send his items for Angie, off once he receives them.

I was also told that Joker's package came back to her, something about an incorrect address
and is being reshipped today

she has proven herself to be of such low moral and ethical integrity that i do not ever want to deal with her again under any circumstances

but its pretty sad that she had to step in like this to fix so many trades (most of which STILL aint anywhere close to being fixed)

I agree this was no where near an ideal situation :(

I just hope the rest come through, maybe better late than never is still worth something.
