It was none of Willona's business what time J.J and Thelma came in the house. I think she was way over the line. I don't know what the "adult age" was int he 70's, but in modeern times, 18 or over, you are an adult. But I can see why Willona would be concerned about them leaving Michael alone......... Wait. He was about 15 himself, and lots of teenagers stay at home alone............................ And the way they were talking about JJ and Thelma coming in so late and Michael being up so late, that could go on all the time. That's how they would end up missing work/school, etc. Someone being around to check up on them would help.
