I thought that was dumb too. She should have said something like, "I have VD and I thought I should let you know because I'm not sure where I contracted it". Unless her other boyfriend lied and said he didn't have it so she wouldn't be mad, lol. They could have broadened the storyline a little to resolve that.

I think that was what the writers were eluding to. The football player boyfriend was sleeping around.
