I just searched the forum, and I'm actually pretty surprised that no one has brought up the Michael and Ann Kibalo case (with the exception of asking if the re-enactment actor who played Mike Kibalo was Conan O'Brien). For those of you who weren't aware, Ann and Michael Kibalo were the couple who married and had a child. A few days later, Ann Kibalo started acting really weird and abruptly moved out of her house with Michael, informing him that the marriage was over and she wanted a divorce. It was later determined that Ann suffered from Munchhausen's Syndrome (I've probably butchered the spelling on that-- it's the psychological disorder where the mother hurts their child in order to gain attention for themselves.) Mike Kibalo was granted full custody of his daughter, only to have Ann Kibalo kidnap their daughter Samantha later.
Anyone know of any updates to this case?

Sad case. Appears to still have no resolution.

I am disturbed by this case. The psychiatrist said Ann Kibalo has Munchausen syndrome by proxy, mixed with traits from obsessive compulsive disorder, paranoid schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, narcissistic personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder. It was also said that Ann took Samantha to 7 different doctors, a total of 33 times, over a 11-month period. She also hired 23 lawyers and 11 psychiatrists, due to her OCD.
My fears are that Samantha might be dead. It's possible that Ann went too far with the abuse and accidentally (or purposely) killed Samantha, panicked, and disposed of Samantha's body. Samantha's father Mike says that he has not found evidence that she was enrolled in any schools, so she might have been homeschooled. Ann's mother also likely helped aid in hiding Ann and Samantha, as she refinanced her home several times and allegedly used that money to support Ann and Samantha. It's despicable to think that Ann's own mother, obviously aware of her mental problems, has harbored her and let the abuse continue.
