Looks like we are going to be getting more Futurama afterall. There was a mention on CNN about Fox getting more episodes.
There also was speculation that Fox was looking to resurrect the animated series "Futurama," from "The Simpsons" creator Matt Groening, on its Sunday lineup the same way that "Family Guy" was brought back last year. The network has an option for new episodes, which currently are being produced for Cartoon Network's Adult Swim late-night block.

Also, Last night while watching Adult Swim, I noticed that they were pluggin the straight to dvd movie that is in production (or soon to be)
Very good news all around.

I am looking forward to that. I am sick of watching all the same episodes.

Well, I guess that this show and Family Guy getting canceled then reborn proves that the Neilsen system is very flawed. Is there any proof that its anywhere near accurate? I don't see how it could be. Until about 5 years ago I thought TV's had some kind of transmitter in them that let networks know what people are watching. Isn't that funny? Though it may actually be secretly true now and would probably be a more accurate way of finding out who's watching what.

The ratings are taken by people keeping log books. I did it for 1 week, and did it for my parants one week. It is a pain in the arse. I can see how it wouldnt be very accurate. I spent the time to do it according to the instructions, but a lot of people would not. It is just too hard.
I think they should be able to get the viewing numbers from Dish network and Direct Tv. They could do it in a way that does not include any identification. These boxes allready store the info, and they are connected to the main office by phone line. It would only be a matter of telling the machine to include the info when it connects. The only think is a lot of poeple leave the box on when they go to sleep. The box would have to count the channel as being watched all night which is not good.
