which season of Growing Pains was the best overall?

I voted for Season 4. Seasons 4 and 5 were when the show was at it's peak, IMO. I also love Season 7. (I think i'm the only one who does, LOL).

Season 3

The first season focused more on the Father then on Mike. I feel the producers eventually realized everyone liked Mike and thats why seasons 3-7 were mainly about him. The only episode I liked in season 1 was when Mike had a house party. :wave:

no actually, i'm on the same wavelength with you again.. season 4 and 5 are pretty much my favorite but i voted for season 4 as well... this is when a lot of serious interaction came into play (especially with sandy) and then also maggie has the baby and mike and carol are off to college (well carol in the middle of the 5th season). But i also love season 7 and i think that we are the only ones who do ;)

3rd Season

It was a great show but as a Tracey Gold fan it was hard to watch any thing from the last season. I was so happy to see that things truned out okay for her later on.
