I read in the paper that Mark Wahlberg was scheduled to fly to California on one of the planes from Boston that crashed into the WTC on 9/11. I guess he and his friends changed their mind at the last minute and decided to attend a Toronto Film Festival.

I heard something on the radio today that shocked me, so I researched it on the web. Senator Joe Biden lost his wife and 13-month daughter in 1972, in a car crash. His two small sons were in the car as well, and fortunately, they survived. It happened the week before Christmas when his wife took the kids out to buy a Christmas tree and a tracker trailer crashed into them. They died instantly. So sad.

Biden was sworn into the Senate from his son's hospital room three weeks later.

i think it was they were supposed to be on the plane but ended up driving to Boston instead. Mark said he and one of his friend for the first time in the x years they've worked togeter both had a bad feeling about flying and decided against it since it was a close enough drive.

Here's what I read today.

Mark his words

Mark Wahlberg, who was scheduled to fly on one of the doomed 9-11 planes from Boston to L.A. but changed his plans at the last minute, now says he believes he and his posse would have gone “United 93” on the terrorists!

“There were a bunch of us, five or six . . . we were all guys too . . . but I was not traveling with security,” Wahlberg told Big Apple man-about-town Baird Jones at a press junket for the ex-Funky Buncher’s new flick, “Invincible.” “We were in first class. We certainly would have tried to do something. I try not to think about it but how can you not think about it?”

The “Boogie Nights” star skipped the flight that crashed into the World Trade Center because he and his boys decided to drive to Toronto for a film festival bash.

“Then I woke up in the morning and read the papers and I couldn’t believe it,” he said. “I’ve had dreams about it. Probably over 50 dreams.”

File Under: Invincible?

Maybe i'm thinking of someone else then. I couldve sworn i heard him say it on actors studio. Either way, can you imagine what was going through their heads after everything happened? Strange how some things work out.

I don't want to call Wahlberg a liar, but he could have changed his story or embellished a bit.

I find this statement of Wahlberg's curious:

“Then I woke up in the morning and read the papers and I couldn’t believe it,” he said.

Who found out about the attacks in the newspaper? It wasn't in the morning papers until September 12th.

Even if he was in Toronto, I'm sure they knew what was happening on 9/11, as it happened.

Even if he was in Toronto, I'm sure they knew what was happening on 9/11, as it happened.I recall CBC (Canadian Broadcasting) having wall to wall coverage and showed people in that area Canada in fear after the attacks. It would be almost impossible not know what had happened right away.

I wouldn't be surprised if they story was "spiced" up a little for the publicity purposes. if im not mistaken he had a movie(rock star) out that week.
